The location and the deck on the water were excellent
The breakfast was very good. The staff was accommodating.

Based on ******* information, I believed I was getting a waterfront room, not a street front room. The tv was not working, turns out the box had been unplugged. Both lamps were unplugged and I had to move furniture to plug them in, the ceiling in the bathroom was peeling, the shower was too small and leaked onto the floor, there were windows on both sides of the room and the blinds let in light all night, it was like daytime in the room. I could not sleep at all.
The man who was working the desk Friday night and the woman at the desk Saturday morning were both very pleasant and went out of their way to help.

My husband and I are in our late 60's. Wanted to visit St. Augustine away from crowds and noise but able to park at hotel and walk. Edgewater was perfect. We were pleased with lovely quiet location, view and comfort. Walked over Bridge of Lions to everything. Alligator Farm is 2 min. drive.
After a long day, our Adirondack chairs were relaxing. Office staff want to please!

This place is a gem!
It makes a perfecct home base for the historic district. For a 1950s style hotel (updated of course) it had the necessary amenities. Staff was friendly too.

Our stay here was nothing short of amazing. We were able to get the most requested 2nd floor room and the view did not disappoint. You had a perfect view of the lights from Night of Lights and the sound of the water made it super relaxing. The room was small but comfortable (ask for extra towels because the shower does spray) and the bed is perfect after a long day of exploring. Now for the BEST PART, our hostess Mrs. Sarah was our Christmas Angel. She made sure that she had a nice welcome party and made it feel like we were part of a family and not just another paying guest. We were excited to see her every night and made a point to be back at 5pm to do so. She was more than accommodating and made sure that we were having a great time and also gave us ideas on what we could do next. If you are able to book the Edgewater Inn and are lucky enough to see Mrs. Sarah you should consider yourself blessed!

A great location and nice staff. Potentially lovely room but it really needed a proper clean through and some care, eg there were multiple paint scuffs that needed touching up in the room. The beds and bathroom were clean but the floors and windows/window panes were definitely not.
However the location is great for the view of the bay and city, and it is a short and enjoyable walk into the city centre. Breakfast was nice and the parking was easy, at no extra cost.
