Beautiful manor house with spacious comfortable rooms. Excellent food and generous welcoming staff. Very good value for money. You have to write 200 signs for these reviews (why?), so let me just repeat that iit is a great experience!

Just pulling out La Ferme des Mares, a charming establishment that provides everything except showers and an apology or discount for providing showers. Should you decide to visit, my advice is that you check the hot water before accepting the keys so that you don't have the unhappy experience of discovering an ice cold shower upon waking the next morning. And no one at the reception to assist you until 8:30 AM when you need to check out.

Very pleasant hotel. Warm and friendly welcome. A bucolic haven of peace. A table for dinner that is worth the detour. A very nice discovery. Pleasure for the eyes and tasty creative food . I highly recommend. Private parking. Wi-Fi. Gardens. Hotel on a human scale. Top team.

Enchanting break in this authentic and cosy place. We could have breakfast in the garden with local products. The hosts were great and very attentioned. The nature and villages around are charming, and it is very handy to visit Cotentin from la Ferme des MARES;

Un très bel endroit, chambres spacieuse et confortable avec literie de haute qualité. Grande salle de bain. Très beau bâtiment avec beaucoup de charme. Accueil très sympathique. Excellente table est délicieux petit déjeuner. Nous reviendrons

Mauvais rapport qualité prix pour cet hôtel qui est très beau de l’extérieur mais qui manque de bcp de choses à l’intérieur. Il faudrait du personnel formé et qualifié à ce métier, plus de confort, plus de propreté, plus d’équipements et de modernité.

Un lieu animé par un couple qui a pris ce challenge en 2007. Cadre magnifique et une prestation à la hauteur de ceux qui cherche un lieu bucolique chaleureux . La cuisine est excellente, les propriétaires et les employés humbles et très proches des hôtes. La région mérite le détour avec des activités variées.

Nous n’y avons passé qu’une nuit, lors d’une étape sur le GR du tour du Cotentin, mais ça a été un moment très agréable. La bâtisse et ses dépendances se trouvent à proximité immédiate du Havre de Saint-Germain-sur-Ay qui a donné son nom au village. C’est un couple qui l'a réaménagée il y a une dizaine d’années et qui s’investit sans compter. Dès la réservation, tout est fait pour vous accueillir au mieux. Nous avions une très grande chambre (Chambre Cocoon, n° 3, mais présentée en tant que “suite” sur le site de l’hôtel), avec deux fauteuils confortables, un grand bureau, deux grandes fenêtres, excellente literie… bref tout pour inviter à y séjourner plus longtemps. Il faut signaler toutefois qu’on entendait un peu les personnes en cuisine, située à l’étage inférieur (c’est une vieille bâtisse) et nous avons trouvé problématique de n’avoir que la belle baignoire à l’ancienne dans la salle-de-bains : pour se doucher, c’est l’inondation assurée. La salle de restaurant permet de bien dîner dans un cadre feutré et c’est dans cette même salle que nous avons eu le plaisir de petit-déjeuner (machine à presser les oranges, un plus).

Expérience hébergement bonne mais restauration pas terrible. Joli cadre, chambre propre et spacieuse. Notre chambre n'était pas fonctionnel pour prendre une douche sans inonder la pièce. Pas de porte-manteau dans la salle d'eau. Au niveau de la restauration, pas de choix de menu un menu unique servi le soir à 30 euros sans savoir ce que l'on aura dans l'assiette. Pas de produits locaux ou de saison ...nous avons eu des anchois en entrée, du magret de canard en plat. Les assiettes sont belles et bien réalisées mais tout cela manque de goût et de cuisson. Assiettes décevantes pour les papilles alors que le visuel est superbe du coup on s'attend à quelquechose de bien meilleur. Sur note séjour, nous n'y avons pris qu'un repas ... l'opération n'étant pas bonne à renouveler car en plus il n'y a pas de choix donc si on n'aime pas, pas de changement possible !!!! Petit déjeuner trop cher !
