Absolutely amazing venue - really warm and lovely host. Such a cool place to stay in a really old castle steeped in history. Marleen was so welcoming and made us a super tasty meal on our second night. An unusual and interesting place to stay. Very relaxing, most interesting hot tub ever!

My family (including two small kids) loved our 4 night stay at Chateau De Saint Vidal - truly heaven on earth! The hotel has something for everyone. The rooms are gorgeous, thoughtfully modernized, and spacious - with incredible historical details. Lovely breakfast and dinner, and the grounds are superb. The host was the most helpful I've met in France, and speaks English very fluently. She quickly learned our children's names and provided us with lots of tips for day trips. The region has terrific natural beauty and many charming towns. We visited in July, but I think this chateau would be the perfect place to relax any time of year. I don't normally write reviews but wanted to encourage anyone who's considering this hotel to book it - you won't be disappointed! My kids are already begging to return.

This is the worst hotel I ever stay, price are outrageous, the food is terrible , the breakfast is not up to standards, everything described on the web site does not exist . This hotel is a catastrophe, I cannot believe this exist. Do not stay there

I stayed at Chateau Saint vidal right after the opening of the hotel, my wife and I had a lovely stay, the staff was very generous and very friendly. we had a lovely time in this typical French castle. we do recommend to stay there for honeymoon thanks for taking care of us

Une magnifique étape au château de Saint Vidal. Des chambres superbes, un espace spa-jacuzzi somptueux qui vous donne l'impression d'être dans un autre monde et un diner exceptionnel. Cette expérience a été un vrai bonheur grâce à notre hôtesse, Marleen, qui par son professionnalisme, sa bonne humeur et sa gentillesse a tout fait pour que nous nous sentions comme à la maison. Un grand merci à elle qui a su sublimer notre séjour au château.

Séjour parfait dans ce bel écrin empli d histoire départi près de 1000ans …. Équipe à l écoute et très attentionnée. De très bons conseils nous ont été communiqués . Merci à Didier et Marleen pour leur accueil . Autre avantage : la proximité avec la ville du Puy en Velay .

J’ai adoré notre parenthèse dans cette forteresse restauré avec goût et à la taille humaine. Le lieu a un charme fou, le personnel est accueillant et aux petits soins. Nous avons profité d’une belle chambre très spacieuse (le prince de la tour de l’Auvergne) et surtout de l’espace bien-être. La possibilité de profiter d’un massage sur place (a réserver à l’avance) est vraiment extraordinaire. A refaire! Nous reviendrons avec plaisir.

Un lieu magnifique, des chambres superbes. En revanche le service n’est clairement pas au niveau d’un établissement de ce type. Deux personnes uniquement pour tenir l’établissement un 8 mai, c’est insuffisant. Pas certain que les cinq étoiles perdurent dans le temps… Allez-y pour le lieu, pas pour le service…

Excellent accueil, prestation de grande qualité. Chambre très spacieuse, ameublement d'époque, parfaitement conforme au descriptif. Les repas du soir, sont simple, et parfaitement préparés. Je recommande sans hésitation ! Merci Nina.
