just returned from my ninth 4 week stay only once has the service dropped below the high level we are use to the experience housekeepers had to leave family health replaced by younger generation whose priorities was phone social media over work meaning room cleaning finished later than normal a replacement of staff and quality service was soon back to normal. Mauri works hard to maintain quality service this is reflected in high guests numbers and scores on booking sites old saying book early to avoid disappointment I have numbers 10/11 booked plus new granite road finished around hotel which eliminates one problem wind blown dust but an increase in road traffic

I recently had the pleasure of staying at B&B SALINAS, which was fantastic. The spacious room provided ample space to relax and unwind after a day of exploring. The cleanliness was top-notch, with daily cleaning and fresh towels provided without fail. It was truly refreshing to come back to a spotless room each day. The breakfast options were plentiful and delicious. There was a wide variety of choices, from fresh fruits and pastries to hot dishes that catered to all tastes. The dining area was well-maintained, and the attentive staff ensured that everything was well-stocked. It was the perfect way to start each day of my trip. The staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating. They went above and beyond to make me feel welcome and were always ready to assist with any requests or questions I had. Their genuine hospitality added an extra layer of warmth to my stay. The location was also excellent. It was situated in a nice area, conveniently close to attractions. This made it easy for me to explore the city and enjoy its offerings without any hassle. In summary, my stay was nothing short of amazing. The spacious room, daily cleaning service, diverse breakfast options, friendly staff, and ideal location made it a memorable experience. Amazing stay in B&B Salinas ! Maury is so welcoming and such an incredible human being, always here to help. I felt really confortable staying there and will come back one day I hope ! just returned from stay number 5 at the salinas again 4 weeks although guest numbers varied greatly covid effect the level of service was as ever at the highest standard great breakfast rooms cleaned monday to saturday sheets changed once a week towels every 3 days

Salinas is not a 5 star place but nice and clean and a budget travellers paradise. Maury is amazing, gives you all kind of good advice for delicious but modest priced local meals in tiny restaurants away from the crowd, tells you where there is live music in the evening or when there are fireworks for new year. B&B sits close to the center of town within easy reach of restaurants shops beautiful beaches etcetera. Don´t miss a trip to Deserto de Viana, a walk to Fatima Church along steep awesome cliffs and the wreck of Cabo Santa Maria, the latter a great hike.

I stayed here for 7 nights in total, though originally I only planned to stay 2, but plans changed spontaneously. First of all, Maury and his staff are some of the kindest hosts I've ever had the pleasure of meeting in a b&b. Maury takes care of all your requests, is a completely calm and upbeat person, personally makes you breakfast every morning. Additionally, he gives you a digital map of Sal Rei to show you where everything is and also gives you recommendations as to where to go. His English is also great, which cannot be taken for granted in Cape Verde. Secondly, the rooms are very clean and have all the basics that you can ask for. The rooms are cleaned daily (at least when I was here, apart from 25th December, which is of course a holiday and the staff deserve the day off). The best is comfortable and the bathroom is equipped with all essentials. Location wise Salinas is well situated in Sal Rei. Since this is a small town with only ~6,000 inhabitants, everything is within 10 minutes walking distance. The centre is about 5 minutes away on foot. All in all, the value for money here cannot be beaten. Maury even gave me a slight discount after having elongated my stay from 2 to 7 nights. What more could you want? A perfect base in Boa Vista if what you're looking for is an authentic, yet totally clean, friendly and helpful stay. Can only recommend B&B Salinas. There was really nothing I missed here Thank you, Maury, for an excellent stay!

just returned from my third 4 week holiday at the salinas all the females that have worked there Sammi Lily Ann now Mauris partner Morena the standard has never changed , more than adequate breakfast with home made cakes/yogurt when the uk government brought in last minute covid test for returning passengers Mauri booked an hospital appointment and went with me to interpret and returned with me in the evening to obtain results

Petit hôtel a 10 mn à pied du centre ville et de la plage.Tenu par des italiens qui parle anglais.Le prix affiché à la réservation à été respecté. Le petit déjeuner est inclus.Mal insonorisé, pas de double rideau tres épais, la lumière passe, réveillé de bonne heure.On y est resté 4 nuits. Je conseille d'aller manger chez Nixia a 2 ou 3 rues de l'hôtel en sortant sur la droite. Trop copieux, prix raisonnables.Faire le tour de l'île absolument de préférence en organisé, vous ne louperez rien. allez boire un verre à l'Embuscade, il serve de très bon Caipirona.

Nous y avons passé 4 très bonnes nuits, nous avons apprécié la tranquillité du lieu et l'excellent accueil de nos sympathiques hôtes qui ont été disponibles et arrangeant. Petit plus, le café au petit déjeuner est très bon!
