We have just returned from a short trip to Romantik Villa and can only echo what other people have said. Olivier and Patricia are perfect hosts making you feel so welcome.If you are after a place to recharge your batteries this is the place. There is a steep hill when walking back up from the town but it is most definitely worth it!! We will definitely be returning!

Romantik Villa is the perfect place to stay if you value peace and quiet and lovely surroundings. We have stated in the studios Salema and Figuera and both are beautifully decorated. The pool area is immaculate and furnished with comfortable beds. The hosts Olivier and Patricia are lovely people, keen to ensure you have a wonderful stay. Highly recommend!

A simply stunning place to stay. This is a really carefully created space for relaxation. Olivier is an excellent host and clearly loves the space he has created. We stayed in ‘The Loft’. It was one of the most beautiful and spacious rooms we’ve stayed in. There is a huge terrace over looking the sea. The pool loungers are padded and sprung - not something we’ve seen before but incredibly comfortable. There’s an honesty bar (everything from beer to ice creams is a euro), and a sand based chill out area. It’s a 5 minute walk into Salema, with its excellent restaurants, and the pristine beach. A little longer back as it is up a steep hill.

The entire experience was wonderful: the town, restaurants, accommodations, but most of all, the hosts and their dog Papaya! The grounds, rooms, breakfast, stocked pool bar, where all fantastic. The town has a small number of delicious restaurants and the beach is beautiful.

Amazing place to stay! Quiet and peaceful with lovely grounds and ocean views. Multiple communal outdoor areas in sun and shade around the pool and elsewhere allow for private enjoyment of the property. Rooms were bright, clean, and chic. Delicious breakfast pastries and rolls are delivered daily to your porch and coffee, tea, butter, jam, and milk are provided in the room’s fridge. Beds were comfy too. Would highly recommend Romantik Villa and would stay here again in a heartbeat!

We loved our stay at Romantik Villa! Our hosts Oliver and Patrizia were super accommodating and provided valuable local information regarding restaurants and sites to visit in the area. Absolutely a perfect quiet area of Portugal to visit and hang out! We will be back! Highly recommend!

Beware The Loft room does not have a private terrace. If you have inconsiderate neighbors as we did, there is constant smoking, loud talking and noisy outdoor kitchen behind a partial wall. It was not quiet and relaxing and we chose to leave early. The room and view are fabulous but when you walk out your door you pass through a shared hallway where they kept their doors open. The hallway outside your door was noisy with their coming and going. This is a change in 2023 and not like the pictures or description on the website.

Clearly in my opinion this is the best place to stay in Salema. Olivier is the perfect host and Papaya his side-kick is such a cute beautiful Golden Retriever. The room came with a bottle of wine and fresh warm pastry's every morning for breakfast. The room was large with a small kitchen. Extremely clean and a beautiful view of the town of Salema below. Ample parking, beautiful pool. This is a great place, and if after reading all the 5 star reviews it's obvious that Romantik Villa is the finest place to stay in Salema regardless of TA's scoring system. Restaurants within walking distance too. I wish I had the time to go back and stay a couple of weeks in the summer as I am sure it's absolutely phenomenal.

Romantik Villa is a lovely, peaceful place on the hillside of Salema. Our apartment was beautifully decorated, clean, quiet and had everything that we needed for our short stay. The bed and bedding were comfortable. We arrived to food in the fridge - water, orange juice, oranges, yogurt - and a bottle of wine - all much appreciated. Every morning we received a basket of fresh pastries and rolls. Communication with the hosts was easy and timely - they were very pleasant and helpful when we had questions about restaurants, laundry and car rentals. We hope to return to the Algarve in the future and would definitely want to stay here again.
