Il Reticolo

Il Reticolo è stato fantastico! Posizione perfetta per esplorare Salerno, vicino alla stazione ferroviaria e alle strade principali. Il letto era molto confortevole, la colazione era deliziosa e i proprietari/padroni di casa erano meravigliosi. Molto comunicativo e utile.

Small but clean room with tiny balcony in on of the typical Italian houses. Perfect location, 10 minutes by food from the train station and just a few steps to the pedestrian street right in the center. To the Centro Storico it’s about 10 minutes, worth to spend an hour or 2 strolling around. The host Carmine is very helpful, assists with all you need already upfront per What’s App. Nice breakfast in the small kitchen, all choices however unfortunately everything was packed in single use plastic.

This B & B is one of the worst we have stayed at in over 50 years of traveling the world. The Room: We requested a quiet room away from any traffic noise, with the intent of staying a week. Instead of being truthful with us about the fact that their B & B did not have such a room, we were booked into a corner room with two huge balcony windows overlooking major street intersections. The traffic noise was so bad sleep was impossible! After 2 horrible nights we informed the owner/manager Carmine that because we had been misled we had no choice but to cut our stay short. Instead of an apology, with no forewarning and without our authorization or signature, he used a photocopy of our Visa card and quickly charged us for 7 nights while we were in our room packing, which was dishonest. When we appealed to his sense of decency, he showed no absolutely no remorse or contrition (please read a similar TA terrible review posted by an Italian, titled “Dishonesty”). Additionally, the bathroom smelled of sewage and made us nauseous; the hot/cold water was intermittent so one either burned or froze in the shower; the only chair in the room was hard and had dirt stains; there was no desk; the beds were extremely hard; and the down comforter was bleeding feathers, which scratched. The Breakfast: Our impression was that much of the food served was not fresh. The first day the bread roll was stale. The butter tasted rancid and had an expiration date a month earlier. The tangerines were half rotten. The cheese and ham was tasteless. The eggs were stone cold. Conclusion: AVOID this B & B if you are looking for a place you want to enjoy staying on your vacation. Travelers deserve much better than enduring a nightmare experience at Il Reticolo B&B Salerno.

Il Reticolo is the perfect place for a stay In Salerno. It’s in the middle of town and close to both the train station and the sea. We had a very nice room - all modern and with a good bed. Chiara and Carmine were both very helpful with good tips for sightseeing and restaurants. And the breakfast was both plentiful and delicious We will warmly recommend Il Reticolo.

Great experience and perfect host service. Good breakfast and strategic position to visit the best place in Salerno. Ideal for families and business trips. Clean room and bathroom and pretty kitchen room with everything you need for a perfect stay

Il Reticolo is very well situated in Salerno. The establishment is modern, clean and a nice place to stay. The best part is the staff. Everyone was really helpful and friendly and went out of their way to accommodate our requests and questions. They were very responsive to all online communication and We were able to easily converse via WhatsApp and Google translate. I want to especially mention Giuseppe who helped me greatly when we had an issue with late trains. Thanks guys. 👍😃

The best customer service, stayed here with my friend and were happy with everything. Clean and spacious rooms, helped us with finding ferries to Positano, suggested restaurants and overall a very friendly atmosphere. Would stay here again :)

Me and my sister stayed in the Il Reticolo for a week. The room was very clean, breakfast absolutely delicious and Giuseppe was very nice and helpful! The location of the hotel is amazing. It is basically 10mins walk everywhere- to the port, to the train station, to the centre of Salerno where most shops and restaurants are, to the beach!! Super convenient! If you are looking for an accommodation is Salerno for a very reasonable price- I highly recommend Il Reticolo! @Giuseppe- grazie :)

Il Reticolo a Salerno è un B&B Fantastico! Lo consiglio vivamente e lo promuovo a pieni voti. Tutto ottimo: la posizione a due passi dalla stazione e dal centro storico; le camere belle e confortevoli; la pulizia impeccabile e la colazione ricca di prodotti buonissimi appena sfornati (sfogliatelle, cornetti, babà, bomboloni e tanto altro ancora). Giuseppe e Carmine gestiscono tutto ciò con grande disponibilità, cordialità e attenzione alle esigenze dei clienti curando ogni dettaglio. Ci torneremo sicuramente
