Amenities are really lacking - the room lacked basic items, including no free water in the room, no slippers, only one dressing gown (despite being booked for two people). Temperature controls were inconsistent. The lighting was either on or off - no way to turn off just a few.
Service was predominately pretty poor - staff were grumpy and aloof from our arrival onwards. But Sammie was fantastic - when we encountered an issue with the heating in our original room she was super accommodating and friendly.
Redeeming qualities - the room was really clean, housekeeping were great, the view from the roof was great, and the location was walking distance from so many places (MOMA, Union Square, Oracle Stadium, Chase Stadium, Pier 33 for Alcatraz, ferry building etc) as well as good food options.

Booked a room for a concert at Chase, very walkable less then a 10 min walk.. and the area is clean and safe. Def would stay again, the only problem the room did get a little stuffy even when we had the AC at 65… but would still book another stay.

The staff who checked us in was incompetent. We had 2 rooms booked and she couldn’t quite figure it out. Maybe she was new. The coffee was out I. The AM the staff was clueless. The bed was very comfortable but a bit dated. The room faced an office building so no view. It was quiet and convenient. The gym was pathetic. I wouldn’t stay again and won’t recommend it. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. On my last day my flight was well after check out time and they offered to hold my bags while got some last minute exploring in. I will definitely stay here again. The hotel is nice, clean and in a great location right across from a Muni stop.

I loved that the entrance of the property is off the Main Street, but the hotel is still accessible from the Main Street. Very smart way to not have to rush and be in traffic.

Mine and my boyfriend’s first time at a hotel and it was perfect. 20 minute walk to chase center for the event we were attending and we were lucky enough to have are room ready 2 hours before for early check in plus we weren’t charged an early check in fee. It was also so stress free that we had our vehicle protected in valet parking definitely would recommend and they will see us again. Thank you Hotel Via
