After reading Peggy’s review, my experience is starting to make more sense. We had a terrible experience with Nick at this location. We had stayed there before when they first opened and it was fine. We may have been working directly with the owners back then. Nick was rude and unhelpful then turned us away once we couldn’t figure out how to enter the property. To be fair, we couldn’t check in until after four so we spent the day on Kelley’s Island. Yes, we had been drinking when we had a hard time using his keypad. But so what? As a rental owner myself, we bend over backwards to make sure our clients feel safe and comfortable. And we would have handled this situation differently, with understanding and better communication. In all of our travels, and we have traveled the world, we have never been so mistreated.
