We visited the restaurant area for drinks, while we were walking around the area and carrying out some site seeing. We sat outside for quiet some time looking at the wonderful views. Staff were pleasant and friendly and drinks reasonably priced. If you are interested in William Turner, near by is a board him and information on a painted he carried out of St Goar (The Lorelei Rock, c.1817 - Joseph Mallord William Turner - AKA Loreley (Aquarell 1817) )

On our way to the city of Koblenz, we decided to spend a couple of days in Sankt Goar. It is a beautiful small town in Germany on the Rhine river. Very friendly owner, very clean and nice room!!!! Excellent view and excellent breakfast.... We really enjoyed our stay!!! Petros and Katerina Zervas

Wonderful hotel with great views. We had a room on the top floor which was really small but at £72 including a great breakfast for 2 people it was great value. We ate in the restaurant and had delicious snitzchel. We ordered medium but they were huge. The hotel is a bit isolated and the opposite side of the river to loreley itself. We did have a great nights sleep and the staff are wonderful
