We were both very pleasantly surprised by this modern hotel. We had been on a 10 day motorcycle tour and have changed hotels every night and this was day 9. The rooms were unusually large with a funky style of decor and a generously proportioned shower room. The hotel has ample parking and is a 5 minute walk of the town centre with a wealth of shops, bars and restaurants. The hotel does not have a bar but there were drinks available in the fridge in the foyer.

It was a very nice experience & the staff was very friendly and helpful as we didn’t speak German. I would stay there again!!

Gewünscht war bei Buchung ein DZ im Hotel Le Journal, wurde auch bestätigt. Bei Ankunft gab es dann ein Zimmer in der Auberge. Die Bestätigung (für das Hotel) sei eine automatisch generierte, die für alle Zimmer so formuliert sei). Gardinen im Zimmer fleckig, Waschbecken eher eine Vogeltränke (klein), keine einzige freie Steckdose, Dusche funktioniert offensichtlich mit Durchlauferhitzer ( jedenfalls wird man anfangs fast verbrüht und nach 30 Sekunden steht man gefühlt in Eiswasser). Gar kein ausgewogenes Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis und nicht zu enpfehlen.

Wenn man viel rumkommt, hat man auch schon so manches mittelmäßige Hotel zu überteuerten Preisen gesehen. Aber hier gab es nichts, aber auch garnichts, zu kritieren. Geschmackvoll eingerichtete Zimmer, schnelles WLAN, reichhaltiges Frühstücksbuffet und sehr freundliches Personal. Ich werde wiederkommen.
