VERY DANGEROUS, Please do not stay here. I stayed here on 12/7/24 traveling solo. It's a large property but I was the only one there. The owner Mustafa is a man perhaps in his 60s. At the start he appeared very welcoming, chatted to me for hours about his wild conspiracy theories. When I excused myself to sleep, he tried to convince me not to multiple times, then offered to give me a massage on bed which was promptly rejected. After this, I went to have a shower. He sneaked into the female bathroom while I was showering, waiting for me to come out from the cubicle naked, and made up some ridiculous excuse of wanting to show me the cloth hook. When this happened it was midnight so I couldn't get up and leave straight away (should have, I was in shock). I blocked the bedroom door with a cabinet and watched it all night and managed to sneak out around 5am. It was a terribly upsetting experience. Please never stay here.

We are two boys from Spain who came to Urfa in search of adventure, far from the typical tourist circuits and getting to know authentic places that are not yet exploited. We met Mustafa, owner of Hotel Ugur and it was a great success. He acted as our guide for two whole days and we saw incredible places that we never thought we would see: Nemrut Dagi, Sogmatar, KarahanTepe, Harran, Cendere Koprosu, Karakus, Han El-Ba'rur, SuayipSehiri, Buyuksenemagara and authentic, amazing landscapes. Mustafa, from what little we have been able to see, is a humble, altruistic, honest and cultured man. He has helped us with everything we have asked for and has always advised us in an honest way. Hotel Ugur for the price you pay, has everything you need, clean, in a good area and with good staff. We hope to see you again soon Mustafa! Miss you!

I have stayed at many hostels in the world in over 70 countries and there is not one that I would recommend higher. The staff and owner are genuinely kind and you won’t find a better guide to the city, surrounding areas and life. Mustafa knows more about the area than anyone. Please please take his tours to: Karahantempe (super cool) Harran, Gobeklitempe, Suayip City, Mt Nemrut and Sogamatar! You will be blown away! Seriously one of the best places I’ve stayed at. For the small price it is clean and comfortable. The little smoke smell in the lobby adds to the authenticity. Stay longer than you think you should. It is well worth it. Beautiful city and food. Have a tea or 7 with Mustafa. You won’t regret it!

This is a great budget hotel/hostel with both shared and private rooms. The location is excellent, walking distance to most places you want to go and good access to local busses. The otogar (bus station for non-local travel) is a bus ride away. Absolutely the best part of Ugar is the manager, Mustafa (spelling?). He has been in the travel business for over 20 years and he can tell you how to get anywhere. And his day tour to Mount Nemrut is worth the 60USD he charges!!!!!

Fine if you re not expecting the Hilton for a very cheap lower thsn hostel price. I found man attending always to cleaning. I checked in early at no extra cost got given as much free tea or coffee as I wanted. This is the very cheapest price in an old building. However I had my own clean room with sheets blankets towel aircon and tv. There is hot running water in old shower style and toilet constantly cleaned with toilet paper soap supplied as I chose shared bathroom. There is a kind of plumbing odour but as I am on a strict budget it did the job for me. What can you get at this price now as even shared dorms are much more. I went on a trip with owner and it was a full day unrushed and fascinating. I also got to visit a different site even older than the original temple area discovered at Gobieletepe! It was all set in cute country areas and got to see arabic breed of sheep being herded and milked. Villagers friendly and usually would invite you for cup of chai but it s ramadan now. I really enjoyed my trip just got simple explanation and it was all I needed as plenty of books in reception already. We visited many sites and for me it was a perfect day. The owner is a little eccentric but I enjoyed every minute. The hotel is a 10 minute walk to museums Abraham s cave etc and souks where I enjoyed a delicious spicy chicken kebab with sweet onion dip and a couple of soft drinks. Many eateries around but limited as ramadan. My favourite mosaic museum and archaelogical museum are where you can spend hours and after a relacing serene tea at Abraham s pool with many fish. Sanliurfa seni sevoyorum! I love this city😀💗💗💗

We stayed in a private room and we enjoyed our stay here. Mustafa and the staff were very helpful and kind. Mustafa took the time to help us with bus tickets and information on what to do around the city. The hotel was clean and well located. There are some good places to eat in the area! Mustafa is a great person and easy to chat with in English. Thank you again!
