This is the best place to meet new people and make friends. Everyone is very friendly and respectful. I totally recommend!

I only stayed one night but wished I could have stayed longer. The staff immediately made me feel welcome. The bunk beds were cozy and I loved the privacy curtains. They've created a nice community for travelers. The location is great, an easy walk to State St. and right by the train station, which is how I was traveling. I visited another hostel in San Diego later in my trip and they paled in comparison. I look forward to when I can return and spend more time.

Our stay was short but sweet! A great location near the wharf and downtown, we were able to enjoy experience the wonder of Santa Barbara even within a day. Definitely appreciated all of the accommodations from the delightful breakfast to comfy bed, it was a perfect spot for novice and seasoned travelers alike. Shout out to all of the wonderful staff for a fun time, our experience is definitely something we’d do again! If you’re looking for a relaxing stay, friendly faces, and solid SB experiences, the ITH is the place to go!🌊🏖️🐚🤙✨

Fabulous! Since we were travelling on our Amtrak multi pass, it was great to be able to stay so close to the station & the Santa Barbara Waterfront for such a good price AND within easy walking distance of all SB’s tourist attractions. Also nice to have friendly hostellers to chat to after our many, often-lonely, friendless,motel stays. Clean & comfy. Great to be able to cook own brekky with ingredients provided. Brought back happy mems of my youth❤️

This was one of the nicest hostels I've ever stayed in. Granted, it's only a hostel bed, but the staff was very friendly on check-in, the hostel is in a great location just near the restaurants and the beach (and the train station!), and they even hosted a special social event on Friday night where I met some people.

If you're on a limited budget and don't mind sharing a room with others, ITH Santa Barbara is ok. The staff is friendly and helpful. The room is like a dorm room with clothes scattered around and traffic in and out. But, it's safe and nobody disturbs your stuff. It's a little like an Army dorm.

Cute place. Clean and friendly. If you don’t mind sharing a room with others, it’s much better than $400 for motel 6. They even organize activities and provide yoga mats for use. The only reason they didn’t get a perfect score is they need to oil the hinge on door 5 that squeals every time someone gets up in the middle of the night. And they should disclose there is a train that blows it’s whistle when it passes by your window.
