Incredibly clean room & bed linen.
Very quiet room.

This is the second time we have stayed at the hotel and on both occasions everything has been perfect for us. Customer service was excellent. All staff were friendly, helpful and knowledgable. Breakfasts were good and we often ate in the courtyard area, our room was comfortable with nice views over the sea. The location is just above the main square and near to good bars and restaurants. There is a regular bus service to funchal and Machico. It had everything we wanted.

We paid for a superior room and booked last summer and got this. When we went to reception and complained we were told that the hotel was full and that they couldn’t change our room. I couldn’t have been more upset, the end to our holiday was ruined by this hotel. The bed mattress was cheap and so springy it was so basic. The hotel was clean but it smelt really strongly of a very overpowering air freshener.it was so strong I felt sick. You tell me, does this room look like a superior room they have advertised? I don’t think so. This is a basic hotel and I would be very careful if you book this hotel!!!! I am so upset I have put in a formal complaint to Travel Republic who we booked it through.

This is a fantastic hotel, spotless, superb friendly staff, good sized rooms, excellent food quality in the restaurant, easy walking distance to center of Santa Cruz. Outside areas well cared for. the only negative was heating within the room, could not get it warm enough.

I quite enjoyed my stay at the Santa Cruz Village Hotel. The room was spacious and clean and I especially liked the the walk-in shower in the bathroom. Breakfast had decent choices and the one night I ate dinner there, the food was also quite tasty. Itˋs located only a two minute walk away from the beach. The staff was great - friendly and helpful!

We stayed for 7days ,which we really enjoyed ,the staff were so friendly and can't do enough for us Our room was everything we needed, a fridge a tv The room was cleaned every day and given clean towels We stayed half board food was very good the chef was excellent Would recommend to everyone Will stay again

Chose this hotel from Jet2 website as they don't deter solo travellers. As an aviation enthusiast also wanted to be close to the airport. Friendly greeting from both guys on reception. Easy check-in. First floor room close to lift, no need to worry as didn't hear it at all. Easy access large room with double bed. Bathroom huge. Both well-decorated and clean. Small balcony overlooked courtyard garden. Excellent breakfast, great choice. Dinner menu limited but food excellent quality. Pool area clean but sunbeds a little tired. Good pool bar. Close proximity of elevated highway may put off some people! Only moan is size of hand towels. Size equated to guest towel in UK, so room for improvement there.

Bev thompson my husband and i just spent a lovely relaxing week here good location near to a local shop short walking distance to some lovely restaurants the staff here were fantastic very helpful telling us which bus to catch to get to funchal for the cable car the breakfasts were very good excellent choice continental meat yoggurts fruit omelettes would recommend this hotel as it was quiet clean and very well presented honestly think its the best hotel i have stayed in on my travels

We once again stayed for a week at the Santa Cruz Village Hotel, it is such a relaxing week. The staff were again courteous and helpful, the food has maintained it's excellence. What we like about the hotel's position, is that it is at the top of the village, handy for buses into Funchal and a gentle stroll down through the village to the shore.
