Villa Trópico

My husband and I picked this resort based on the recent reviews, and we have not been disappointed. The room is comfortable and roomy, beach is great, fabulous for snorkeling close to shore, great pool, amazing staff. All the staff is friendly and helpful. We only wish they had Pina coladas and mojitos....and tequila. The grounds are a beautiful paradise! The resort is quiet and very relaxing. We will be telling all our friends they should come here, and we will definitely be back!!

We have been going to this resort, (formerly Villa Trópico) for over ten years and have been there 20 times +. The last time that we were there the resort was under the Starfish banner (spring of 2023). We were very pleased with the multiple changes that have been made. From the esthetics to the culinary we have noted nothing but improvement. Management and staff continue to be the biggest drawing cards for us. Their warmth and kindness are their greatest assets. We are very happy to be returning this spring. It will be a great pleasure to be there with our friends. Looking forward to rekindling friendships with both staff and returning guests. The site is exceptional and it is a family resort.

I like this beautiful hotel because it is surrounded by nature. The view of the mountain makes a contrast with the sea and its surroundings that makes it unique. We must also highlight the food at the Italian chef's Buffet restaurant, which is very delicious and varied. I recommend it!!

I came to the Starfish Jibacoa hotel and we had a great time. The food tasted very good and was varied. The attention from the staff is great. Super clean rooms. The mountains and the sea make a beautiful natural contrast. I will come back.I recommend it!!!

I loved Starfish Jibacoa hotel. It has an incredible natural landscape. The beach is spectacular for diving as it has a beautiful coral barrier. The food is variated and tasty. I loved the animation, it is a special team, greetings to them, they are the best. What I like most is the good service provided by the workers. I will come back for sure.

This resort is special because the staff here make it so! So many smiles, so much attentiveness, remembering individuals from previous trips, true gratitude in all directions! The beach, mountain views, the coral reefs you can swim to, the delicious seafood, hiking trails, the ice cream, horseback riding, so much to choose from, so much to enjoy! I love Jibacoa. I made a lot of beautiful friendships here

I love this resort and have been coming here since 2012 so I've seen it change and evolve. Currently the resort is the best it's ever been and I highly recommend going as the food is incredible now. This resort is situated out of town surrounded by mountains and with a large reef right off of the beach (bring your snorkel gear). If the weather cooperates you can try scuba diving here for like $30 in the nearby reef which is amazing. There are also multiple hikes you can do from the resort and many extra cost excursions you can sign up for while at the resort. This resort is for you if you're looking for a chill, relaxing time surrounded by nature and friendly tourists. If you're looking to go clubbing and shopping everyday this is not the right place for you, though there is a really lovely shop both on the beach by the river between the resorts, and another just up the road in a house past Memories resort where I can buy everything I want (plus the official tienda near the lobby). Don't expect perfection but definitely expect a relaxing time and good food.

This is a 3.5 star with 7 star service clean rooms, great food, beautiful beach that is amazing for snorkeling. The animation staff is super! Everyone from barmaids to housekeeping is amazing. Been there multiple times and it is guaranteed i will be returning.

My stay at the Starfish Hotel was wonderful even though I arrived in Cuba for the first time in Havana at the Miramar souvenir hotel. I didn't like it for the reason that the bartender had poor service in the bar, she had no customer service and much less. The supervisor of the hotel Memories Mirabar it not a friendly person when I arrived on a flight (Sunwing )from Canada at around 11:00 pm night very tired and I asked him for a pinacolada cocktail and a sandwich and they did so with very bad will. However, when I arrived at the Starfish Hotel, everyone treated me with many things, starting with the public relations lady Yanet who always kept an eye on me with a polite smile. And I can't fail to mention the gentleman who works at the gym she gave me excellent advice on working out. I also want to mention the charismatic entertainer and star of the hotel Jonás taught us how to dance salsa, I had fun with each show otherwise the night would have been boring. I felt like family with each of the staff colleagues, not because they are professionals in the area but because good service is priceless. I should give this hotel 4 stars and take away a star from Memories Miramar. I'm sorry but it's the truth that It's worth having a good hotel and not having good service. I loved the gastronomy and the food was excellent for my palate, a thousand congratulations to the kitchen staff and especially the chef. The pool was always very clean with crystal clear waters with the necessary products, I have no complaints at all. My experience in Cuba was brilliant, that's why I advise everyone who wants to come to arrive at this hotel and then go to Havana. Thanks also to the waiters for their excellent service in the restaurant. I want to thank the Sunwing aircraft for having a great offer of services and also thanks to the representative at the hotel who speaks three languages ​​and sold me an excursion with swimming with the dolphins that I will never forget.
