Villa Trópico

My husband and I picked this resort based on the recent reviews, and we have not been disappointed. The room is comfortable and roomy, beach is great, fabulous for snorkeling close to shore, great pool, amazing staff. All the staff is friendly and helpful. We only wish they had Pina coladas and mojitos....and tequila. The grounds are a beautiful paradise! The resort is quiet and very relaxing. We will be telling all our friends they should come here, and we will definitely be back!!

We have been going to this resort, (formerly Villa Trópico) for over ten years and have been there 20 times +. The last time that we were there the resort was under the Starfish banner (spring of 2023). We were very pleased with the multiple changes that have been made. From the esthetics to the culinary we have noted nothing but improvement. Management and staff continue to be the biggest drawing cards for us. Their warmth and kindness are their greatest assets. We are very happy to be returning this spring. It will be a great pleasure to be there with our friends. Looking forward to rekindling friendships with both staff and returning guests. The site is exceptional and it is a family resort.

I like this beautiful hotel because it is surrounded by nature. The view of the mountain makes a contrast with the sea and its surroundings that makes it unique. We must also highlight the food at the Italian chef's Buffet restaurant, which is very delicious and varied. I recommend it!!

I came to the Starfish ****coa hotel and we had a great time. The food tasted very good and was varied. The attention from the staff is great. Super clean rooms. The mountains and the sea make a beautiful natural contrast. I will come back.I recommend it!!!

I loved Starfish ****coa hotel. It has an incredible natural landscape. The beach is spectacular for diving as it has a beautiful coral barrier. The food is variated and tasty. I loved the animation, it is a special team, greetings to them, they are the best. What I like most is the good service provided by the workers. I will come back for sure.

This resort is special because the staff here make it so! So many smiles, so much attentiveness, remembering individuals from previous trips, true gratitude in all directions! The beach, mountain views, the coral reefs you can swim to, the delicious seafood, hiking trails, the ice cream, horseback riding, so much to choose from, so much to enjoy! I love ****coa. I made a lot of beautiful friendships here

I love this resort and have been coming here since 2012 so I've seen it change and evolve. Currently the resort is the best it's ever been and I highly recommend going as the food is incredible now. This resort is situated out of town surrounded by mountains and with a large reef right off of the beach (bring your snorkel gear). If the weather cooperates you can try scuba diving here for like $30 in the nearby reef which is amazing. There are also multiple hikes you can do from the resort and many extra cost excursions you can sign up for while at the resort. This resort is for you if you're looking for a chill, relaxing time surrounded by nature and friendly tourists. If you're looking to go clubbing and shopping everyday this is not the right place for you, though there is a really lovely shop both on the beach by the river between the resorts, and another just up the road in a house past Memories resort where I can buy everything I want (plus the official tienda near the lobby). Don't expect perfection but definitely expect a relaxing time and good food.

Just came back from paradise was there may 2nd to may 9.This place is home to me with my Cuban family they make me feel welcome and a lot of them know me by name there are special people who take good care of me i want to mentionYanet,Dian public relations,Noralis my chambermaid,Nidia,Grizel and others in dining room i cant remember names,Luis, Micheal pool bar Anabele and everyone else lobby bar and the girls at front desk and the gardners who do an amazing job. The food was good lunch and dinner usualy the same.They added a juice bar inthe mornings which is cool.At nighttime they had a pasta station which was great.The service is great in the dinning you you line up and they give you what you want a big shout out to Nidia she is awsome i love you and Grizel at buffet love you all. one pool was open they are redoing the other one. The beach was amazing coral reef if you llke snorkeling and scuba diving. The bungalows are nice and relaxing with a covered varenda nice and clean new beds 6 months ago fridge hair blower.110 sockets 3 or 4 in a bungalow quiet cold air conditioning showers are awsome with lots of hot water. Thanks Noralis my chambermaid for an awsome job love you bungalow 3303 for single or couple next to buffet close to lobby bar.

Our fifth trip in just one year and this is still a small paradise!! Amazing staff, very professional, respectful and responsive to all our needs. The grounds are very well maintained, the pool is undergoing an overhaul, replacing the linings with a cement pool. One side is almost completely finished and adult side will follow shortly. The pool will be amazing once the work is completed. Rooms are very comfortable and clean with quiet air conditioning. Television service could be improved as not many stations are available. Buffet provided very good food with a variety even though Cuba is suffering from certain shortages.
