The hotel itself has had a total refit and is as good as a new hotel. The bars and restaurants were really well presented and the staff, who are a benefit to the company, were very friendly and helpful. We checked in at the “Level” lounge. This gave us access to the rooftop pool during the day and beer and wine in the lounge. The lounge gave you an exclusive breakfast experience with the staff happy to fresh make omelettes and coffee, special mention goes to the staff on duty during this time as there was never anything they couldn’t do for you. Between 5-6pm the lounge offered a range of spirits for you to enjoy as well as tapas all were very good and well worth going back for. I used the gym most days, however, much of the cardio machines were not working, they clearly moved the machines to a new area and they were yet to be setup correctly. However, the weight machines were more than adequate and I’m sure this will be rectified, especially as we came to the hotel in their second week of opening. The rooftop pool was awesome, and the staff friendly and accommodating they served drinks, cocktails and food to the level staff between 10am and 6pm when it opens to all. Our room was a level room, with a sea view. It came with tea and coffee facilities, a mini bar, flat screen TV, bath, shower room and a separate toilet. It was clean and kept spotless by the cleaning team. There was also a machine to steam press your clothes, which is really useful when unpacking. We had water in cans every evening, which was a really nice touch. Melia continue to be our favourite Hotel chain, with dedicated staff and beautiful hotels and the points on offer is a really nice touch. We would love to name all those that helped us, however, we can’t so special thanks to the: Cleaning team, bar staff, check in staff both in the level and main reception, lifeguards, serving staff at breakfast and all the level team who made our stay very special.
