Flamingo Hostel & Coworking

to be honest I ended up paying more money to stay in a private room hoping it was going to be comfortable comparing in it to a shared room in la brisa... I was mistaken and by a lot. The beds were stiff, the AC was pointed directed to the upper bed and was almost impossible to find a combination between not dying of cold in the top bed and not dying of a heatstroke in the lower one. The smell in the room was of cheap cologne, to be honest i don't know if this is the hotel fault or not but the ventilation was very poor too.

Paid 2 nights for a private room in Flamingo which is supposedly quieter and doesn't at night. LIES. I could not sleep at all! I had to cancel my trip to Tayrona in the morning due to lack of sleep. I asked for a refund for the second night, I was not going to stay in such a noisy place. The manager never showed up to talk to me or give me another option for failing to do their part of providing a comfortable place to stay. This is a club more than a hotel. impossible to stay here. I left and did not stay. I rather lose money than stay another night there. LOUD and DIRTY. Its hyped and a lot of positive reviews are fake Pague por 2 noches por una habitacion privada en Flamingo que supuestamente es mas tranquilo y no se escucha mucha musica por la noche. MENTIRAS. No pude dormir nada! tuve que cancelar mi viaje a Tayrona por falta de dormir. En la manana pregunte por un reembolso por la segunda noche, no iba a quedarme en un sitio tan bulloso sin poder dormir nada. La gerente nunca aparecio para hablar conmigo o darme otra opcion por falta de cumplir con su parte de proveer u sitio comodo para hosped****. Esto es una discoteca mas que un hotel. imposible qued**** aqui. Yo me fui y no me quede. prefiero perder dinero que quedarme otra noche ahi. BULLOSO Y SUCIO. las resenas positivas son falsas.

The place is super clean and tranquilo during the day, the internet connection was really good and stable, the bay is close as well as banks, parks, coffes and Parque de los Novios (full of restaurants).

The place is grate for working and very cure to hang out. However you are entering throughout other hostel that also plays loud music during night. Very annoying. I recommend to come and work but not necessary stay over night if you like to sleep during night.

Flamingo is a fantastic stay with amazing staff, great facilities/food, and a good home base to come back to. Definitely recommend staying here if you’re in Santa Marta. Shoutout Oni and Monica for everything ＜3

El lugar es un BAR, tienen excelente personal, muy amables, serviciales y atentos. Pero NO ES RECOMENDABLE EL HOSTAL, NO SE PUEDE DORMIR. Brisa Loca has excellent service staff, they are very friendly, helpful and attentive. But IT IS NOT RECOMMENDED TO SLEEP IN THE HOSTEL, SINCE EVERY NIGHT THEY HAVE PARTIES UNTIL 4 AM

I used the coworking space for 2 weeks there, it was great : beautiful space, great to focus with all the plants and colors around, great staff... I decided to book a private room there after a few days working there and it was a big mistake. Flamingo is connected to La Brisa Loca Hostel that is a HUGE party hostel with lots of noise, very loud music and very powerful bass, impossible to sleep. It's a shame because the flamingo room that I booked was very clean, welcoming and confortable. The staff at the reception is great and the restaurant serves good and filling food.

The hostel looks great and the amenities are beautiful. However, they advertise it as a coworking place where you can live work and rest. While we were there, they hosted an official party on the flamingo rooftop. The party goes on until 4 am and it is loud you won't be able to sleep. We traveled through many party hostels in the last 8 months of traveling and nowhere we found this. The noise was all over the hostel so a change of room didn't help. On the night of the parties, you cant access the kitchen after 5 pm because it serves as a bar. Also, the people coming to the party are locals - paying admission as in a nightclub and then drunk strangers roam the hostel. If you wish to party Thu-Sunday until morning, then you will love it. If you need to sleep, stay somewhere else.

We had to work one day during our holidays, so we went to Flamingo. The space is very cool: nice vibe, a lot of space, good wifi. We stayed there almost the whole day and had no problems at all. We'll come back anytime we need to.
