Hotel Diego de Almagro Santiago Centro

WIFI is not stable. There is no USB socket in room.

직원들이 나름 친절함^^ 방 느낌도 좋고, 주위에 루치아노 언덕과 대성당 등 갈 곳도 대체로 도보권이네요. 그래도 난 지리도 몰라서 호텔 직원에 부탁해서 택시 투어 했네요.

位置很好，就在智利國防部對面，離莫內宮衹有200多米。設施有點老舊，電梯維護不力，有個電梯停擺，排隊坐電梯等很久。早餐還不錯

On our recent trip to Chile, our last city to experience was the capital, Santiago, and we stayed at the Hotel Diego de Almagro Santiago Centro, situated extremely centrally on Avenida Libertador Bernardo O'Higgins. The hotel is comfortable, our room on the 9th floor overlooking Avenida Libertador Bernardo O'Higgins was spacious, with 2 large beds. The hotel was well-maintained and the staff extremely helpful. Hotel Diego de Almagro Santiago Centro is an excellent choice for travellers visiting Santiago as it is walking distance form many of the major attractions, including the magnificent Santiago Metropolitan Cathedral and the adjoining square, La Moneda Presidential Palace, San Cristobal Hill, Santa Lucia Hill, Chilean Museum of Pre-Columbian Arts (Museo Chileno de Arte Precolombino), Plaza de Armas, and San Francisco Church, amongst many other interesting cultural and historic attractions. Also, importantly, the hotel has a supermarket situated right next door for any essentials or snacks or food or drink one may be looking for. But what really created a special experience for us at the Hotel Diego de Almagro Santiago Centro, was LEO, the fine gentleman at the reception (Recepcion). Leo, with his trademark smile, welcomed us and made us feel at home from the word go. He gave us our room on the 9th floor with spectacular views of the city. He was our go to person for all information, and expertly guided us to local restaurants and eateries, making extra certain to give us safety trips as we walked or travelled around Santiago. He always had a smile for us, enquiring about our day, each time we arrived back at the hotel. I must also mention that his other team members were very courteous and helpful. The bonus of staying at the Hotel Diego de Almagro Santiago Centro, was that i got to jump into my first international marathon experience, as that Sunday morning there was a marathon event happening right on Avenida Libertador Bernardo O'Higgins !! We enjoyed our concluding stay in Chile all thanks to Hotel Diego de Almagro Santiago Centro and especially to Leo.

This place is nothing like it is advertised. It is in a terrible state, grafiti out the front, just horrible and doesn't feel safe. Breakfast basic good tasting tomatoes. Beds hard, and we are definitely not going out after dark. All men in the dining room except for me, maybe a place that men stay for work??

I stayed here 7 days total over 3 bookings as I was in and out of Santiago for flights to Rapa Nui, the Atacama and Torres del Paine NP. Each stay was great. Why? Well, first, unlike the original place that I booked when I arrived in Santiago who flat out lied about the quality of their wifi (it barely worked even at their front desk!), this place has wifi that actually works which they proved after I had to call over to them and confirm that it did before I had to get a taxi over. Once there, even though I had only booked 1 hour before, I got upgraded to a huge room for my first 2 nights w/a mini fridge (all rooms have them). All staff was helpful-all of them spoke good English which was helpful as my Spanish is marginal. The breakfast was pretty good overall-lots of options and they had amazing pastries and cakes. Further, as the hotel is set way back there was no street noise. The location is actually great as well-highly convenient-right next to a supermarket and a few restaurants, close to the metro, about a 15 min. walk to Plaza de Armas. The kicker (and why I kept rebooking it after my first stay) is that it is about a 5 min. walk to the end of the line for the "Centro Aeropuerto" bus line direct to the airport-each way I paid about $2 US to get back and forth to the airport 5 different times in about 30-45 mins. I save a ton of taxi money. Understand that this is not a super modern hotel in an upscale neighborhood like BellaVista but all the amenities were there and overall, the rooms are quite spacious and well designed. In short this was the perfect place for me to get around Santiago and to/from the airport. And the price, when including the breakfast, is a great deal overall. So glad my first hotel didn't end up working out in the end.

Pésimo Hotel,desde q ingresas,nadie recibe,las jóvenes que atienden pegadas al celular,luego nos dan una habitación q no tenía luz,alguien había estando descansando en la pieza porq tenía un cargador de celular y las almohadas desordenadas,un pedazo de confort en el baño,hicimos el reclamo y la mucama ( que no era Chilena) en mal tono nos dice q esa habitación estaba clausurada ( no recuerdo la palabra exacta),nos cambiaron de habitación nada espectacular ,el aire acondicionado con un ruido ensordecedor .El comedor otro punto,el mismo día q llegamos ( 31.10.2024),en la cena,el camarero brillaba por su ausencia,absolutamente despreocupado de los y las comensales,servía los pedidos y después no aparecía más, a diferencia del almuerzo q nos atendió un garzon Haitiano ,muy amable y preocupado en todo momento ,finalmente no pudimos terminar lo que queríamos comer porq cerró la cocina y la excusa del garzon fue q el estaba solo para atender las dos mesas q estaban ocupadas.

Hotel antiguo, ubicación adecuada para mi propósito. Desayuno bueno. Personal muy amable y colaborativo, los del área cocina comedor, aún más atentos. Instalaciones antiguas ascensores estrechos y lentos.La relación precio/calidad no le favorece.

Muy mala experiencia fuimos 6 hombres en dos habitaciones de 3, en la recepción la señorita desesperada por el pago en dólares miro uno por uno como si fuésemos delincuentes , pasamos a la habitacion fria le dijimos que no andaba la calefacción al otro dio nos dicen ya esta arreglado nos morimos de frio. La ducha salía muy paca agua y fría una experiencia malaaaaaa, no vayan . HABITACION 716 DEL 8 AL 12 DE JUNIO. pd Vale decir que las habitaciones las hacían muy bien las mucamas. El o los errores son del hotel no de las mucamas.
