Area has a variety of dining options
Hotel is very noisy at night. And door lock of the room can be easily broken into.

I like the fact that you were in the Zona Colonial district and you can see the historical sites. Very beautiful place.

Hostal La Colonia is greatly located at the heart of the Colonial City of Santo Domingo. Everything is within walking distance.
The only issue we had was that apparently, ******* had overbooked our reservation. My group had reserved seven rooms and, when we arrived there, there were only five available.
The staff, however, was able to sort everything out and we ended up having a great stay.
The only two issues were: In one of the rooms, there was no toilet paper in the bathroom and we had to ask for it. Secondly, the baterries in one of the safes had to be replaced in order to lock and protect our belongins.
Other than that, this is a great hotel for the price...

Property doesn’t offer much except a place to lay your head. The surrounding area has a lot to offer but don’t get your hopes up.
