Daedalus Hotel

Absolutely fabulous hotel loved every minute of it the place the staff went above and beyond to cater for us,shout out especially to Maggie in the breakfast area thanks for the lovely bread,would recommend this hotel for anyone,our room was gorgeous the balcony the views,what can I say and so close to everything and the bus station around the corner A1

Great room. Clean and spacious. Beautiful pool. Huge breakfast selection. New the city center. Walking distance to all the views of the caldera. Little boutique in the lobby area for shopping. Restaurants within 5 minute walk. Great staff.

It was pretty good hotel, located very near restaurants and shopping. It is located in a commercialized area on a busy road right out the front door. The rooms were clean, and quiet, the pool was large, clean and lot of space. The breakfast is located downstairs and a bit cramped when full but the food was outstanding!! Great coffee, lot of variety and delicious pastries. It really is less than 2 blocks from great shopping/eating and the local bus station to get to Oia was easy!!

Fabulous hotel, nice modern room, spotlessly clean. Beautiful garden and pool area, so peaceful. Nice breakfast with good selection of food. Friendly staff from front desk, to cleaners to the lovely blonde lady at the pool bar. We were kindly upgraded to one of the jacuzzi rooms as it was my 40th birthday, these rooms are so worth having, an added touch of luxury. We also loved the proximity to everything. Few minutes walk to main bus station, shops, bars and the sunset views. Would 100% recommend and would stay again if we were to return to Santorini.

The hotel is really pretty and a great location just 5 min walk from the centre of everything. Supermarket and pharmacy is just across the road The hotel reception were nice and would help with booking excursions and confirming transfers. Bruna or Pruna( spelling?) in particular was very helpful and super smiley. The grounds are really well kept especially the pool area which is lovely and quiet with different types of sun lounger both shaded and fully in the sun. The pool's shallow end is quite small so maybe not ideal for young kids. The pool bar is run by Rita who is really friendly and she would bring around little tasters of cocktails when it hit four o'clock. You can put any food or drinks on the room tab or pay cash only. The food is salads, pizza or toasties. The breakfast is good, fruit and cakes, cooked options would be eggs, bacon, frittata, cereal, toasts and salads. The rooms are cleaned twice a day and are spotless, they didn't seem to replace the glasses each day but were happy to sort it out when it was pointed out to them We did have an issue with the room on the first night. We had booked with "*******/Love Holidays " and had been careful to specify a twin room but when we arrived at 10pm we were told it was only a double available for the first night and then they would move us. They did move us the next day but given the expense of the holiday it was annoying. It seems to be a miscommunication from ******* to the hotel. The bathroom sink area in the second twin room was a little small but very clean. Would highly recommend the hotel for location and surrounding.

The title says it all. We had an over the pool viewing room that was perfect The bed is amazing and soft, the bathroom is perfect with heaps of space. Whilst it is on the corner of two roads it was surprisingly very quite. The breakfast buffet has many options. You are only a short walk to the bus if you wish to go to Oia, or the opposite direction to the winery's. Will definitely stay here when we come back to Santorini.

During our stay, staff were very pleasant and kind. The outdoor area of the hotel was beautiful and the pool was amazing and a great feature to have in such a warm island. However, the location of the hotel was a huge let down, there was a giant car park right next to the hotel and a main road on the front and side of the hotel that was incredibly noisy and you could hear most of the time. Our room lacked a lot of features like a clothes line (we noticed majority of the rooms around us had one but we didn’t), a rack to hang towels in the bathroom or a fan in the bathroom which made it very hot and unpleasant and the small window only made it incredibly noisy from the road. The rooms don’t seem up to standard compared to the outdoor area of the hotel. Our experience was hindered mostly by the fact after check out and settling the payment with the accomodation, they had charged our card an additional few hundred dollars due to a mix up made by hotel staff undercharging us and without prior consent or knowledge they withdrew the money from the card details provided at the time of booking online (which we were under the impression was for the use of securing the booking or in the chance of a last minute cancellation, not for the hotel to use to charge additional payments without consent from us first). Overall, it was an average experience.

The hotel staff was excellent. The rooms and common areas were very clean. The included breakfast was outstanding. The area will leave you speechless. Word of caution, you will be climbing many stairs to explore the area but you won't be disappointed. Make sure you watch the sunset, it's something you will never forget
