Hotel Ryad Express is one of several hotels close by Sao Luis airport. We stayed one night before heading to Lencois Maranhenses the following morning. The hotel cost us $US35, so you can predict what you will get. This hotel is as basic as you can get. Our “executive” room had a bed and a desk and a small bathroom with few amenities. The walls are so plain, they accentuate the bare bones this room offers. The positive was that the shower water pressure was quite good. The bed was clean but a little hard. There is no food anywhere in the area and you wouldn’t want to venture out here after dark anyway. You would have to order food in but as foreigners, this wasn’t possible. We bought some crisps and nuts from the vending machine at reception which was our dinner. Breakfast was included and that was OK. I suppose for the price the Ryad Express is reasonable enough. We were also grateful in the morning that we hadn’t been murdered during the night. Check out my other reviews of places, hotels and experiences throughout South America.

Estadia curta. Porém, acho que poderiam observar melhor a questão da limpeza. Assim que entrei no quarto, logo senti aquele cheio de ambiente fechado há muito tempo. Ao abrir a janela, percebi que havia muita poeira na mesma. E tive uma situação um pouco mais delicada, que foi quando eu vi duas baratinhas andando pela mesa.
Pode ter sido um erro meu não ter comunicado a recepção, mas, eu estava chegando somente pra dormir.
Buffet de café da manhã maravilhoso! Tudo muito gostoso, com muita fartura, atendimento ótimo.
Fomos atendidos por duas senhoras super simpáticas.

Hotel precisa de algumas reformas, aparência bem velha mas equivalente ao valor da diaria. Limpeza não tão boa.
