Highly recommended! Exceptional service. We loved the spa and garden pool, perfect for spending the afternoon there. Very close to the bike park and cable car, and you get the ticket at the hotel. Food is delicious, so many options for breakfast and dinner, also vegan and gluten free corner! During the day, bar at the lobby is opened where you can get some snacks or lunch. Order vegetarian bowl, the best bowl I’ve ever ate. I am coming back just for that!

I had the privilege of staying at the Falkensteiner Hotel Schladming recently, and it far surpassed my expectations. Situated in the beautiful Schladming Valley, the hotel provides the ideal combination of contemporary luxury and alpine ambiance. The accommodation is luxurious, spacious, and provides stunning views of the mountains. The wellness area, complete with saunas and pools, offered the perfect setting to relax after a day of skiing or hiking. Dining was a treat with a superb breakfast buffet and sophisticated dinner options freshly prepared from excellent, top-of-the-range ingredients. The service was first class – friendly, helpful, and eager to help. Whether relaxing or exploring outside, Falkensteiner is the perfect place to begin an utterly unforgettable alpine retreat. I'm already looking forward to a return visit!

The hotel is really nice in all meanings of the word. Very nice design, furnished smart so you never miss a hook to hang your clothes in the bathroom or wardrobe. Friendly staff who is able to help even with non-standard requests. Good food and wellness.

Beautiful modern hotel maintaining Austrian charm throughout. Spacious rooms with the most storage I have ever experienced - well designed! Location a short 5 minute walk to the Planai gondola and centre of town. Breakfast and dinner had so much choice, excellent cuisine and variety for all tastes. Staff throughout provide great service with a smile! Pool and spa area were lovely. Usual rule of no swimwear in saunas which is not an issue as you simply wear your towel for privacy if desired. Highly recommend this hotel.

I came here to see the snow on the mountain. And I went up to see snow on a 2700 meter high mountain. It was my first experience of snow. It's very good, excellent. I felt proud of myself for doing something I had never done before. Moreover, your hotel is a very beautiful hotel. I like nature I love my bedroom, living room, where my room has a picturesque mountain view. And your breakfast is very delicious. I like omelets, I really like fruit. The waiters take great care of their customers. Everyone is polite and cute. And I really like the full body massage also.

I recently stayed at the Falkensteiner Hotel in Schladming with my partner, hoping for a special getaway. Having chosen this 4-star hotel with a spa based on its glowing reviews and using a WellCard voucher, I was excited for a relaxing weekend. Pre-Stay Communication: Disappointing Before even arriving, the hotel's communication left much to be desired. When I inquired about using the spa after checkout on Sunday, I was told this would require an extra fee. Based on this, I adjusted our plans and booked our return train journey accordingly. Later, when I tried to book a massage through their early bird discount, I was told the only available time was Sunday evening—after being previously informed I couldn’t access the spa then without paying extra. When I pointed out the inconsistency and shared my earlier conversation, the staff admitted there had been a misunderstanding but did nothing to rectify the situation or offer compensation for the confusion. Arrival and Check-In: No Resolution Upon arrival, I raised the issue again, hoping the hotel would acknowledge the inconvenience and perhaps offer a gesture of goodwill. However, the receptionist merely said they would "have to ask," and no follow-up or resolution was provided during our stay. This lack of complaint management set a disappointing tone for what was meant to be a special experience. Service and Facilities: Below Expectations The overall service did not meet the standards of a 4-star hotel. The staff appeared stressed and overworked, and small details were overlooked: • I was given documents with my name spelled incorrectly and the wrong gender. • Staff couldn’t confirm whether the spa area was clothing-optional, which added unnecessary confusion. • Dinner service included an awkward comment about the complimentary prosecco we had requested, which felt dismissive and unprofessional. While the food at dinner was excellent, the spa facilities were underwhelming. The spa area was smaller than expected, and the water temperature in the pools was disappointingly cold—not even body temperature. Atmosphere: Not Relaxing The hotel’s atmosphere didn’t match our expectations for a tranquil, upscale retreat. Its large size gave it a more impersonal, factory-like feel, which detracted from the sense of exclusivity and relaxation. Additionally, children running and shouting in the hallways on Sunday morning made it hard to unwind—a personal preference, but something worth noting for others seeking a quiet getaway.
