Sercotel Dona Carmela, Ascend Hotel Collection

Hotel is 6 km van Sevilla maar makkelijk berijdbaar met bus 37 ongeveer 35á40 min. Ontbijt is uitgebreid, aangenaam zwembad en een bar waar wel wat volk komt. Was tevreden met onze keuze.

We stayed for four nights. The room and bathroom were a decent size, the breakfast plentiful enough. A big thanks to Maria in the Reception, she arranged a tour of Real Betis football stadium and a bus trip to Cadiz for us. Muchas gracias Maria x. Thanks also to Salla in the reception x. We ate in the downstairs bar every night, a big thanks to Carlos and Joaquin, great barmen. The bar is great value for money and used by the locals, a sure sign that it's good. The hotel is approx 30 mins from the centre of Seville, use the No. 3 or 37 busses to take you back and forth, it costs about €1.80 and busses run regularly. All told, for what we paid, a nice little hotel made all that better by friendly staff. The Mercadona supermarket is opposite if you need any food or drink. Tip, it helps if you can speak some Spanish.

The admission process was smooth and efficient. Daily, the front desk staff greeted us with a warm smile and quick to offer assistance if needed. The property is quaint with some modern touches; the beds perfectly comfortable and linens crisp. Super clean too. Antonio is a gem.

This was a bit further from the centre of Seville than I'd realised - my mistake. There are two regular bus services into town, but it does take a while (30-40 minutes depending on traffic). Cross over the big roundabout towards town and the same bus stop serves both the 3 and the 37. Staff very helpful. Bar/cafe decent. Breakfast plentiful and good.

We stayed here for 6 days and it was a great stay. The staff are very welcoming and we were greeted by lots of friendly faces when we arrived. Antonio was on the front desk and was so helpful and friendly. There was another man and lady also on the desk in the week who were also very friendly. The hotel is spotlessly clean and very well looked after.I travel alot but this was the best hotel hairdryer I have ever used!!!! The breakfast was great! Lots of choice and they even had a tea station.I didn't eat any cake but the chocolate cake looked divine. It was a very pleasant and relaxing breakfast room. The pool was lovely and lots of sunbeds and huge parasols if you wanted shade from the sun. We ate in the cafeteria attached to the hotel and the food was lovely and very reasonably priced along with the beer. I would like to mention Carlos and another gentleman with a beard who worked in the cafeteria who were very attentive and we don't speak Spanish and they tried really hard to understand us and did respond in English.There was another young lady that was often in the breakfast room who was very helpful. The hotel is a short bus ride away from the city The bus stop is a 5 min walk away and only €1.30 per person to get to the city.The bus is air conditioned and very comfortable. We got a taxi to the hotel from the airport which was €25 and €35 back but the hotel organised the return You can use Uber too. We will 100% stay here again when we visit Seville. Not what we expected from Sercotel. Outside of Sevilla in a residential area. Room was neat and clean, very small with a tiny bathroom. View of the neighboring buildings. There is a pool and underground parking at additional expense. Staff were helpful and there is a cafeteria on sight. Bar tender served us salads even though they were officially closed. Just not the best area and the hotel needs some updating.

We stayed three nights in this hotel and were happy with what we had. Our room, 108, was a small suit with a huge bathroom and it was very quiet. The room was very clean and the bed comfortable. All the staff were friendly and helpful. I speak Spanish so didn't have a problem. Car parking is €10 a day. We caught the 37 bus, just around the block, into the city which was regular and convenient and €1.40 pp The bus stop is at Puerta Jerez so it's very central. The only negative was breakfast. Sunday, our first day, breakfast was served upstairs and the buffet was very good. However, the next two days it was served in the cafeteria. No menu to explain what was on offer which was difficult as we had no idea what to ask for. One morning we had a toasted sandwich and the next just toast and jam a poor substitute for the buffet breakfast we had on Sunday. I guess buffet breakfast is only at weekends?

Just returned from a 2 night stay. Lovely hotel, great food and staff. Excellent value. Would love to return, but it is a little out of the way. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The on site cafeteria was lovely, well priced food. Seville is a great place to visit and will be certainly visiting again.
