The hotel is pretty new having only opened earlier this year so everything is in great condition and is clearly being well maintained. The hotel actually seems much closer to a 5* mini-resort than a typical Canopy. We called the hotel the week of arrival and arranged an airport pickup which was dealt with and charged to the room without issue. We arrived via Emirates early flight which landed at 7.40am, was a 30 mins or so transfer to the hotel, despite the early our room was ready and we could begin enjoying the facilities straight away. With noting we were also able to get a late checkout until 4pm but not sure if that was due to Hilton status or hotel generosity. Whilst the pool and beach are lovely and the website photos accurately reflect the hotel what soon became clear is this hotels greatest asset are the team members working to make your stay as enjoyable as possible. Everyone was exceptionally friendly and seemed genuinely enthusiastic to speak with us and ensure our trip was enjoyable - not one single person was 'going through the motions'. The hotel is small enough that you see the same faces who remember your preferences and plans. e.g. on arrival at the pool a carafe of complementary iced water is delivered, by lunchtime the staff would come over and check if it was time for a Seybrew and cider which it invariably was! Food at the hotel is really high quality - the breakfast all small plates with an outstanding cooked to order eggs menu offering great variety. Barista coffees and free flowing prosecco made for some lovely leisurely breakfasts on the terrace. Poolside food is good if not a little expensive (as were the drinks) for what it is (pizza, burgers, salads) but I guess that is just Seychelle's hotel pricing. Only gripe with the food was that the main restaurant in the in the evening only serves a three course 'flying buffet' concept. I seem to recall it working out close to 60 Euro a head per person per night excluding drinks. There is just no way we could see ourselves getting value from this or wanting to eat buffet style / excessively to feel like we were getting some sort of value for a whole week. Sadly the only onsite alternative for an al la carte menu is the pool bar which as mentioned is basic burger and pizzas. It would be great if there was an evening option to just get steak or seafood in the main restaurant or the pool bar offer an upgraded evening menu. One really nice touch was to be presented by all the wait staff with a bon-voyage cake on departure on our final day at breakfast. Can't be many Canopy's that do that! Such was the impact the staff made on making our trip so great I've tried to remember some names even a week later, I am sure there are more but they Seybrew did kill some brain cells, as I said previously, they were all - without exception - outstanding. Those that spring to mind - Richard, Jothan, MJ, Ricardo, Martine, Jeremy, Dillan, Gurpreet, Ina, Michael and Muru - I kno
