Pretty nice hostel. Maybe a little bit expensive. But this is probably closest location to the city center, you could find in this price range. Rooms and bathrooms are clean. Lockers for bags are also in the rooms. There even the small outside terrace, convinient for resting and the phone calls.
Probably it would be better with curtains on the beds, but for me this is not a problem.

My overall experience with this hostel was very good. Most importantly, the location is very ideal in the city centre. The metro station Dongchang Road is very close. Tooth brush, soap etc. are not provided which I think with this price should be provided. Overall, environment and hostel was really good and quite.

It‘s the low season and I had the entire dorm for myself. A bit of a pity, because I couldn’t meet people, bit I was staying two nights only anyway. The bathroom is part of the dorm, so you‘re only sharing with the people there which I greatly appreciate. There was a bit of a bad smell, though. Luckily I had a stuffed nose and couldn’t smell that well anyway. The mattresses look thicker in the pictures because the sheet covers the wooden plank and padding both. If you prefer harder beds it‘s perfectly comfortable.
I was a bit late for check-in and very grateful that the guy at the counter checked me in, even though I startled him when I tried to open the door. Thank you very much for your help!

It’s a good hostel to stay here for a short time, great location, near the center of Shanghai and metro station.
However, I had some problems to find this hostel..

The room is fine, the location is really good and convenient, but the building itself is quite old and not too great. The cleaners do a good job tho

Great location, 15 minutes from the Shanghai Tower and even closer to the metro station. The place itself is however rusty and the lack of hygiene is concerning.

The location is absolutely amazing. Very central and close to many restaurants and some sights.
The hostel has seen better days, though. The bar/ barbeque area is shut down. The space can still be used as a common sitting area, where you can meet the other guests.
It no longer being in its prime also becomes very visible in the bathrooms of the shared rooms. The sink was coming off the wall, the towel rack was broken, there was no space at all to put something down, other than the small rack above the sink.
Despite that, it's kept very clean and the service is very friendly.
