Ji Hotel (Shanghai Lujiazui World Plaza)

The hotel was very near to the city center and conveniently accessible to many restaurants. The staff was nice and the room was very clean. Xiao lu service bureau.

The hotel was fine overall. At first, I was given a smaller room with minimal natural light due to the position behind the building structure. I complained at the front desk and was immediately given a better room with good light and placement. The room had a smell of stale air when first going in, but the AC fixed that fairly quickly. The check-in front desk staff was very polite and tried speaking English to the best of their ability. However, in the afternoon the staff changed and the worker knew no English, not even knowing how to respond when asking for basic amenities like an extra toothbrush or water... However, all in all, in the end it was a great big room with a great view, and I was satisfied.

Location wise is definitely great for traveler with luggage. Hotel is just right smack at Line 2, South Pudong Road (浦东南路) the entire building itself might be a little run down but going up to Level 3 (Hotel Lobby) is a whole new world. Checking In process was fine but I find the staff not carrying much smile to guest throughout the several occasion that I've had to approached them and it's not very welcoming for tourist as I don't felt any hospitality in a foreign country. Room was clean and we love the fact that there's a big round table which could place all the food when we ordered for delivery. There's also a FamilyMart (Level 1), Mcd (B1) if you ever need some coffee or breakfast. They are also able to accept Taobao ordering but, you would need to look for the parcel yourself, it's not sorted out so it's at your own risk. Washing machine also situation at Level 3 but no detergent would be provided. In addition, there's also a mall just right beside it, Lujiazui+ mall, food, Chagee and supermarket which makes it quite a good choice.
