When I checked in, Starry was very kind. I asked for a late checkout and she gave it to me free of charge. I was also upgraded room free of charge which was very nice. I wasn’t overly sure on the amenities the hotel had (pool etc). The room was very clean with a lovely large bed. Good wifi, big TV, water in room, optional mini bar. I ordered some room service for lunch and it was very nice and came within a good time. All staff were very kind. I had a takeout delivered to the hotel and someone (I didn’t get her name) was very kind and helped me on her own phone to lick it up as I didn’t know how to do it. Would definitely stay again!

What we love - its central location, cleanliness, a lot of food choices during breakfast buffet, heated pool. We just had some concerns during booking and check in, it was not indicated that our room has no windows but the reception just gave us this room without windows. Due to winter, temperature control cannot be changed so it tends to be very warm.

It's a beautiful hotel! Great location and staffs are warm and smiley! We booked the Shanghai Bus Tour and its really convenient because 1 of the stop is just 1 street away. Not to mention the convenience of the airport and the high speed railway station is all on the same line! We didn't have the buffet breakfast but there are tons of shopping and food all around the hotel. We enjoyed our stay alot. Thank you Marriot!

Our stay was pleasant and most of the staff were very helpful & friendly. They will greet us whenever we walked pass. Too bad we did not have the chance to enjoy the facilities and dine in the hotel. One feedback I had was during our check-in day on 28 Feb 2024. We were not sure if we had arrived at the right hotel as we do not know the hotel's Chinese name. It was raining and I wanted to alight & make a quick check with an older porter at the hotel entrance/drop-off point. When I asked the older porter ”这里是不是 Okura Garden Hotel?” He just brushed me aside and said ”不知道!”. In the end I had to dashed into the hotel lobby and reconfirmed with the reception on duty. Understand that English may not be a common language for the hotel staff especially the older ones. But won't it make a great difference if the staff at least knows the English name of the hotel that they are working for?

Great location walking distance from Shanghai railway station. Got there a few hours early but hotel allowed us to leave luggage there whilst we went for lunch. Lovely hotel, staff, breakfast etc.. Only downside is that the pool is 6th floor in next building so you have to come down, go past reception and lobby and take lift to the 6th floor there. The small jacuzzi was not available when we wanted to use it as it was safer with our 3 year old so had to go into the main pool but we felt like we were getting in the way as others were using it to do their length swimming. Also, to get to the pool you have to climb up some stairs and at the bottom what looks like a rubber grip flooring was full of cold water but it was clear so when i stepped into it with cloth sandals that the hotel gave us in the room, they got soaking wet and the water was freezing cold. There should be a sign there to say there is a pool of water (see picture attached) Other downside in the room is that the lighting system is very confusing - we had an executive suite and wanted to put our infant to sleep in the main room whilst we relaxed in the living room but if you wanted the lighting on in the living area you had to go to the bedroom to turn it on and the lights next to the front door were also confusing as there was no option to turn on the lights in the lounge area and if there was, it wasn’t stated hence why we say it was all very confusing.

Check-in wasn’t a good experience, but the hotel was okay after that. When I first checked-in, the room key cards I was given didn’t work, which was frustrating as the room was one of the furthest from reception. This meant I had to go all the way back for new keys after a long day. I just wanted to relax! Then the second room I was given didn’t match the photos on Trip.com, in particular it didn’t have a real window, looking over the dining area rather than outside. But when finally settled into the third room, the stay was okay. It was supposedly an upgrade, but it only looked like the room I had booked. The location is the big plus: right on Nanjing Road Pedestrian Street which leads to the Bund, both iconic locations that are great to visit. I didn’t have the breakfast as there were no spare seats, so I went to a nearby McDonald’s instead. The hotel needs to enlarge its dining area.

Amazing hotel room with a fish tank! Perfect amenities. Hotel service couldn’t be more helpful. Bringing extra water and ice to the room. Hotel room was extremely hot the manager brought down a fan. Breakfast was very chaotic, food was cold. All in all would 100% stay again. Cliff light show was amazing, water light show was ok. If you want to use the swimming pool being a cap as we read on previous reviews it was needed. Check in was good and helpful. Very busy at checkin but the manager organized the line and told people to queue rather than finding an empty desk.

The room is very good, the double room is quite big. The bed was very comfortable. There is no private space in the restroom. They are all glass doors. It would be nice to add curtains to the glass door of the bathroom. ☺️☺️☺️ The service is super good. The restaurant service staff and front desk lobby staff are very welcoming and attentive. The buffet selection in the morning is also quite comprehensive. Very satisfied with the service. Five stars😊😊😊😊 If I come to this area next time, I will choose this hotel again. The only bad thing is that the soundproofing of the hotel is not very good. But this one is more personal. I am more sensitive and go to bed later. So any noise will disturb me at night.  Also, the day we checked in happened to be my daughter's birthday. Let the hotel front desk know in advance. The lady at the front desk carefully decorated the room and prepared dresses, cakes, handwritten greeting cards, etc. Sorry, I forgot to take a photo 🙄

I had an early 9am flight so I stayed at the Hyatt. The walk to the airport was about 20 minutes. Very easy! Breakfast started at 6am. Easy check-in and the hotel room was very comfortable.  I would recommend the hotel if you have an early morning flight.

very modern hotel with an own bar just right in front of a big shopping mall. Hotel is really clean and one of the most modern places I have seen in China so far. Location is a little bit hard to find but if you get to the place you wont be disappointed.its pretty well connected to the city center just o front of the shopping mall is a metro station. Staff speaks chinese and english and is really helpful. the hotel has even an own bar and a small terrace for sitting. I remember having there a good time and I would always when i come back to Shanghai stay there again.

Lovely hotel in a pretty good location. Loved the cloud bar! Staff seemed very confused about the “gifts” included in the hotel booking, and opening times of the bar for new years but Mr Lee was very helpful. The rooms are decent. A little dirty marks on the wall. Could definitely offer better services such as changing bedding pillows or room service. Not worth the money we paid.

Overall a disappointing experience for several reasons. I’m not one who usually writes negative reviews or makes lists of issues when I stay at hotels, but there were a few that were difficult to ignore: 1. I stayed on Christmas Eve because we were having the hotel’s brunch the next day. I thought I would have a nice, relaxing morning to wake up and get ready, but instead was awoken to construction work out in the hallway—drilling and hammering that were incredibly loud. Furthermore, the whole room was then filled with the STRONGEST, AWFUL smell of burning plastic that I had ever smelt. Because none of the windows in the room could open, I had to suffer through the smell and try to ready as quickly as possible…not a pleasant way to wake up! 2. The bathroom just wasn’t clean. There were urine and possible blood stains on the toilet seat and floor that I had to wipe away when I first arrived to the room. Cleaning services should do a better job to check the toilet surfaces when cleaning. 3. It’s December and the middle of a cold snap in Shanghai, but for some reason the room was unbearably hot and stuffy. I turned off the heating and even tried to turn on the cold AC but the temperature remained the same. It was difficult to sleep because of how hot and sweaty I was. The windows couldn’t be opened so I couldn’t even get a fresh breeze…

Another great stay at the Swissotel! As always a great welcome and greeting by the night manager Jason. His associate, Jack is also always kind and very helpful with anything that I may need. Always so inviting, caring and makes me feel like a family member when I stay. The hotel is decorated nicely for Christmas and has a nice holiday feel. I came to Shanghai on a business trip this time. A friend recommended the newly opened apartment hotel. It has 39 rooms, which are exquisite and comfortable. The clerk Vicky also wrote a love letter ”welcom&good sleep”. This small apartment hotel can be used as a short-term apartment next time. It has a washing machine and a small kitchen. , the bedding is very comfortable, the opus bar upstairs turns out to be such a hot spot, it is hard to find one, and I can relax with a glass of mulled wine after a tiring day. Unexpectedly, there is shisha here, and even more unexpectedly, the black material and wookah smoke pot are very high-quality, one person I really can't stand the whole pot. The most considerate thing is that I went shopping alone and asked the taxi clerk to help hand my luggage to the driver, which saved a lot of time. I will come back next time to experience a different room type. It would be better if there is breakfast.

There is also surveillance at the door, which is very reassuring. The lobby is simple, grand, and the layout is reasonable. The front desk is beautiful, big, friendly, proactive, and efficient. The people are very enthusiastic and speak super softly. Very professional and nice. The room is well-lit, bright, quiet, comfortable, very clean, the mattress is comfortable, the water is fast, the water temperature is good and the bath is comfortable, the Internet speed is fast, and the office is convenient. The room is neat and tidy, the guest room aunt is kind, the service is good, quick and thoughtful. I stayed at this hotel with my best friend and it was a great experience. I highly recommend it!

The location is a big plus as it is near metro and also the hotel is at Nanjing Road, People’s Square, close to The Bund and other places. My itinerary started around 2pm. I arrived Shanghai at 11am from Pudong Airport. ＞ Nanjing Road ＞ The Bund ＞ Yu Yuan Garden ＞ Shanghai Old Town Then went back to roam around. Found Cathedrals along the way (not sure of the names) ＞ Around 7pm I joined the Tour Bus which is 40RMB for 40minutes and will take you to the other side where the Shanghai Tower and Oriental Pearl Tower located. You can see them upclose. The receptionist was helpful on my checked-out day as she helped me to call a taxi to my next destination. The only downside of this hotel is the cleanliness of the room and corridor. I found a hair on my bed, even inside the duvet. Under the table was so dusty. Toothpick at the corridor. Which I believe can improve next time. :) All in all. It’s a great hotel and great location.

I booked 4 nights in Dec2023. As it was winter, the entire hotel's aircon cooling system was turned off and switched to heating mode. There is no cooling mode in all the rooms. We were unfamiliar with the aircon settings and this resulted in our room becoming hot as a sauna. We slept on top of our blankets and were drenched in sweat in the middle of the night. Luckily for the 24 hours front desk, we called for help at 2am. They were cheerful and responsive and even sent someone up to our room and brought us a fan to circulate the air. And when an empty room was available the next day, they gave us an upgrade to a larger room with a much better air circulation. Despite paying only a fraction of the price of a big brand hotel (like Hyatt, Marriott or ), the service we received at JinJiang is on par or better. All the staff speak English and are attentive and eager to please. If things go wrong, let them know and give them a chance to rectify. I highly recommend this hotel for the excellent location and impeccable service. Thank you JinJiang Metropolo hotel for making my stay in Shanghai so enjoyable despite having almost no sleep the first two nights. All your staff from the front desk, doorman, bar waiter and room attendant scored very high marks! Great job! Special thanks to 小雷 for helping us with the aircon and room change. Thanks! 小雷

The hotel is located at level 11 or 12 of the building. Not all the floors belongs to the hotel. The staffs attitude is cold but helpful in some way. They also offer free laundry and dryer that you can use at level 12. For breakfast, you have to scan the QR at the reception via wechat to claim the breakfast from the vending machine. It is convenient but it is a struggle for those who do not read chinese.

I picked this hotel as I was arriving late at HongQiao train station and this is on the same metro train line 2. It’s very close to metro. Opposite Jing An temple. Close to several shopping malls. Not as busy as East Nanjing Rd. Use exit 14 if u travel with luggage. The staff here are friendly. Concierge even helped me with my luggage to the metro entrance. Clean, comfy bed, quiet room.

Another great stay at the Swissotel! As always a great welcome and greeting by the night manager Jason. His associate, Jack is also always kind and very helpful with anything that I may need. Always so inviting, caring and makes me feel like a family member when I stay. The hotel is decorated nicely for Christmas and has a nice holiday feel. Wonderful little apartment. Love that the TV box had VIP subscription so we could catch the latest shows and movies. Bathroom could use a renovation but everything works so no complain. Beds were comfortable and heating was adequate. We had a bit of problem with the fridge and washing machine as they were old but understand that the management is in the midst of changing appliances into new ones. Location is very good, near major metro stations and the Bund area. Would be perfect if we have had a room with the view of the Bund.
