Shangri-La Helv Helu Private Homestay

First of all, the hotel accepts foreigners (as of April 2024). It is centrally located in the old town, and public transportation (limited though it may be) is easily accessible. Of course, there are plenty of shops and restaurants nearby. The room was very good, clean and in good condition, with all the necessary amenities. The staff was kind and helpful, and you may store your bag before check in and after check out. Perhaps one thing to note, is that you shouldn't count on your room having any particular view - my room had a view of the courtyard. Overall, a very good option for those who wish to stay in the "old" town.

Room as advertised. We love the heating features for the floor and blanket. The toilet bowl is warm but the toilet itslef is cold. It will be great if we can have rack inside the bathroom to hang the towel and clothes too. Nevertheless the location is good and we are having good time here. Thank yoi for having us.

Fantastic modern minimalist room design but equipped with luxurious feel necessities. The Homestay is manage by a wonderful couple who willing to provides assistance to customers request about the amenities. Very clean and comfort since is nearly open in 2023, beside it located inside the Dukezong ancient town . Thank you for the wonderful stay and suggestion during my 3D2N stay with snowing happening early morning !!!! May both of them have great business and sure will return one day here

This hotel is located in a quiet location in old town but not far from dance square and the White Tower, 5 minute walk to Tafo Temple. The room is modern style, equipped with wifi, tv, kettle, portable heater, comfort warm bed. Automatic toilet warming when touching your skin and flushing. Hot shower is immediate when need.

We stayed here for 2 nights. Overall a great place to stay if you want to stay in the old town area. Good points: + The location is the best. Very close and easy to walk into the old town, the Moonlight Square. Not to far to walk from the nearest car drop off. + The boss and the lady boss are very helpful in everything. They also always give us hot water to drink and warm us down every time we come back to the hotel. + The room is very clean and modern. Smart toilet, hot shower is hot and strong. + The electric blanket is working fine. But the room is freezing cold and the heater take a long while to warm it down a bit. Improvement points: - We don't quite like the disposable towels. It doesn't feel very dry. - The room floor is tiled, which means it's always freezing cold.

A little small but super clean and comfortable with modern equiped toilet. High water pressure for hot water so showering in such a cold weather is really a bliss. Bed has heater pad and stand alone heater is also provided for extra heat. Room has everything you could wish for!

Great hotel. There is no segregation between the shower and toilet. Toilet will get wet after shower. Would also prefer towel not to be a disposable one, which can't absorb much water.

This boarding house is located within the ancient town, which has lots of eateries, shops and near the square (四方街) where the locals gather to dance at 7pm. The room is spacious and clean. It doesn't have aircon. Instead, there's is heated floor and heat pad is provided on the bed. There's also heated toilet seat which you appreciate in sub zero temperature. The only drawback is the toilet becomes wet after showering and they doesn't provide floor mat for you to dry your feet.
