Vivanta Meghalaya Shillong

Wonderful stay, and amazing breakfast! The customer reception is unparalleled. Loved it!

When you enter the hotel, the lobby looks cramped for space and you don’t get the feeling that you are entering a 5 star hotel. The check in process was smooth as our details were passed over by Vivanta Guwahati. But similar to our experience in Guwahati, the Tata employee discounts were not considered for the room bookings, which was very disappointing. The rooms were also very unlike Vivanta (in the last 12 months, I have stayed with my family in Kolkata, Delhi and Guwahati). Rooms are very small and not spacious, they tried to accommodate all the comforts in the space available but clearly this was not expected. The toilet in 1 room was not cleaned properly and my dad had to call them after check in to clean it up. But there were positives too. The staff as such are very friendly, polite and eager to help. They went out of their way to prepare a dish which was not mentioned in their menu and came to our room to customise the order, which is appreciated. Breakfast was ok - nothing great to talk about and the spread was ordinary. Again, the staff was friendly and responded when we reach out. Overall Shillong is a beautiful place and we loved every bit of it, hence the stay was enjoyable. But the hotel has a lot of scope to improve, so hopefully this feedback will be taken seriously.

Vivanta Shillong stay was Wonderful in lap of nature. Beautiful property, spacious room and over all amazing service. Vivanta team make us feel at home and attentive to each and every need. SlFood was delicious. Each and every item we ordered was mouth watering. Reception for every need very prompt. Rooms are neat and clean with all basic amenities. Right in center of city. No swimming pool. Spa and gym good

First time experience for me so it's just amazing. the therapist is doing their job sencialry Rikynti ,Bibiana both are very professional towards their work...the experience I had in the spa was amazing I would definitely recommend my friend to come thankyou very much rikynti and Bibiana for such experience

A good hotel at the centre of the town. Most of the places are at a walkable distance. The staff were courteous and professional. One must be aware that there is no pool in the hotel. The restaurant is good with ***y options for continental and local delicacies.

As always, the food was the highlight of my stay. The breakfast had a lot to offer and everything tasted amazing. The room was spacious and cozy with amenities to match the price. I was there in shillong the previous night at Marriot and i was disappointed with the food, service and the rooms there. 5 star for Vivanta Shillong. A smaller spread of land but done right. Highly recommended from an avid traveller.

Location of the Hotel is simply the unbeatable advantage of this property. It is a walkable distance from the iconic Center point building of Police Bazaar. We had an upgrade and were accommodated in two suites on first floor of the hotel. The suites are spacious and well kept with minimum adornments or decor. One might find them crammed because they have no inviting windows to look outside. One of our suites, overlooked at a construction site and the other overlooked the corridor which overlooked the restaurant lobby below (Which is a very weird setting for a window anyways). The staff at the Hotel is courteous and extremely mindful. It is a strongly wo*** steered hotel, from reception to all kinds of service. AND this a huge compliment to this place. They seem however to be a little understaffed, because all the stewards seem to be in a haste and hurry. When you are at a vacation, you like scenario to be relaxed and calm. AND here all the stewards are just running, as if they will miss a train or a plane. That was the only disconcerting experience. Some praise however for the fact that the staff was unobtrusive and didn't barge in your privacy with seemingly hospitable but essentially annoying questions. AND also, they don't furnish the tables with QR codes for rating on apps for booking or reviewing hotels (which is just obnoxious and degenerative). Overall, Good.

Extremely hospitable and competent staff, rooms are comfortable, above average F&B. Overall a very pleasant experience.
