I was savouring an alluring summer and have experienced the height of indulgence once again at Vivanta Shillong. I immersed myself in a calm, slow-paced environment without the constraint of time, spending hours in a state of reverie over lunch with mom and aunt. General Manager Mr. Praveen is incredibly handling the hotel with a marvellous team. Mr. Amrit , the F&B Director is courteous and brilliant . Flawless hospitality from his end and I ***** with my mother and aunt had a blissful time . I got my mother here for the first time and she was basking in the lap of comfort and warm hospitality. Mr. Praveen and Mr. Amrit’s exquisite aesthetics , and predilection for panache is admirable . Chef Gopal is simply mind blowing and one can experience exquisite fine-dining to a mouth watering local cuisine from him and his marvellous team in the kitchen. He intends to use all of his knowledge, professionalism and talent to create a new gastronomic language. Mr. Frederik from F&B is fabulous and attentive . Their spa , services, hygiene, rooms are fabulous. Ample parking space . Over all IHCL never disappoints! In Shillong this is the only best place to stay and have your meals.

Visiting Shillong is like revisiting my childhood in rearview mirror. The whispers of wind blowing through the pine trees, the unique fragrance of season flowers, the soft sprinkles of drizzles that are synonymous of 'Meghalaya' all talk to me in language that is akin to mother's innocence talking to a child. I spent the formative years of my childhood in this unique place as my father was transferred here thrice in his tenure as a Bank official. So, when i heard about opening of Vivanta Meghalaya in 2022 , i was curious and felt the joy of childhood days. Always wished to visit and stay here in next visit to Shillong. The opportunity came in May 2024 when my busy work schedule had the punctuation of pause for few days. We stayed at Vivanta Meghalaya for 4 nights and felt assured that the new property being managed by IHCL ,Vivanta a TATA Enterprise has attempted to create what is incredibly ambitious yet a challenge worth embarking on. It isn't easy to run and replicate world class hospitality in a hill station with customer expectations rising day by day. Yet we found the resolute and graceful team led by able leadership of Mr Praveen Sharda is exactly devoted to ensure that. The innocence, sincerity and ever willing to learn team is an asset to IHCL. Its not easy to serve with patience and against the steep gradient of rising customer expectation in a hill station with resource constraints and additional costs involved in supply chain to regular management . However the resolve to go extra mile seemed naturally imbibed in the team. Whether it is the front desk represented by energetic and welcoming members Ms Emyelene, Ms Mercylene , Verdy, Daphi or the diligent, sincere and enthusiastic staff in Food & Beverage section - Mr Fredrick , Mr Pynsuklang,Ms Naphi and Ms Meba , i am sure Mr Amrit and Mr Sharda have reasons to be optimistic about a promising future for this new sapling of hospitality grow with strides in days to come. We have lived in several cities and different places globally and without prejudice or exaggeration ,Vivanta Meghalaya holds the promise of caring hospitality for those who are open to embrace the warmth folded in simplicity and innocence of Meghalaya. We shouldn't expect what you would expect in a big Metro but minimalistic approach also works wonders in sustainable way - Please visit Vivanta Meghalaya to know that , will be my recommendation to those wanting to avail Vivanta hospitality. Personally i feel proud that IHCL , a TATA Group footprint in the delicate hills of Meghalaya is attempting its best to live upto the TATA Spirit ,having been associated with the TATA Group for more than 25 years. Wishing all the best to everyone at Vivanta Meghalaya. I hope we shall outshine all others by what makes us a TATA Enterprise. All your representatives were true brand ambassadors of what one would expect from a brand like Taj. To name a few ( most names were difficult to remember) Hilter, Verdy, Naphi, Emilia, were extremely graceful and helpful. Huge praise for all of them.

Though I was on an official trip but stay in Vivanta made it memorable one. Great food choices, beautiful ambiance and super customer services at reception are worth mentioning. Keep up the good show guys!! Great time spent at hotel and it’s a must go for families and solo travellers as well!!

Pillows are bulky and not soft. We like to get very soft small pillows. The package of food ( bread sandwiches and cut fruits) was really great and helpful to us for the sightseeing trips. It’s was blessing to us who are vegetarians and seniors.

We travelled to Shillong on 20th may 2024 and and stayed there for 5 days at Vivanta. The stay was lovely. The staff were very cordial especially Ms. Marcelyn at the reception and Ms. Juliana . The room was pleasant, the hotel was clean and had a fresh positive vibe to it. The food was excellent. My daughter is allergic to dairy products and were were initially skeptical as to will the hotel be able to provide pure vegan diet for her and we were pleasantly surprised. The dining staff walked the extra mile and made sure that she was served the best possible vegan diet under the circumstances. The vegetarian food and the picnic baskets were good. Overall it was a pleasant and rejuvenating stay. Thanks Vivanta for making our stay memorable. Longing to visiting you again.

My experience at Vivanta shillong was amazing …First of all the location is superb and the hospitality of Vivanta is the best..One thing for Mr Verdy you are the best person I have ever met during my trip to shillong ,Thank You so much for your hospitality and thank you for guiding me about Shillong… Me and my wife also visited spa…I must say,SPA at Vivanta shillong was just superb..We were also tired but after taking the spa ,we were so relaxed.A big thank you to the therapist… Will visit soon again… Thank You Vivanta

We stayed there for one night. The hotel was kind to upgrade our room since we were with an Infant. The room was clean with a good view. The staff took care of our small needs, especially Verdy at the front desk. The breakfast was delicious with a wide range of varieties. The Polica Bazaar is just at a walking distance. Overall a pleasant stay which I can strongly recommend.
