The staff were attentive, approachable, and consistently willing to assist us in organizing our trips around Siem Reap, making the overall experience hassle-free and enjoyable. A special shoutout to the Swiss owners who were genuinely amiable and made us feel warmly welcomed. As for the accommodations, the rooms in Sala Lodges were a delightful surprise. Each room bore discrete charm with its tasteful decoration, seamlessly blending traditional and contemporary elements. The authentic Khmer old houses are full of charm, yet modern and well preserved. The hotel’s kitchen offered a menu that might seem simple at a glance but was satisfyingly delightful upon tasting. Every dish we tried was prepared well, with fresh ingredients and flavors that are comforting yet exciting to the palate. The breakfast, in particular, deserves an extra note of praise for being consistently good, providing a delightful start to our days of exploration. Adding to the hotel’s allure was the inviting swimming pool, serving as a refreshing sanctuary after a day of touring the magical temples and vibrant markets of Siem Reap. During the wet season, the atmosphere around Sala Lodges was even more calming and soothing, with the soft sound of rain providing a comforting backdrop to our stay. To sum it up, our experience at Sala Lodges was nothing short of magical. From the excellent service to the beautifully appointed rooms and delightful meals, every aspect of the hotel contributed to a stay that was serene, comfortable, and absolutely enjoyable. Sala lodge is a wonderful place! The houses are ancient real authentic cambodian houses, nicely decorated and arranged in a way that you can feel in your own little paradise. The service is top notch, we did not lack anything. On top, it's very close to the temples and the owners helped us organise super cool visits with local guides. It's really a comfortable and authentic way to enjoy Siem Reap and it's wonders. Thanks you!

If you’re looking for a Luxury ,unique and classy boutique hotel, Sala lodge is your place! Amazon bedrooms, classy and stylish, swimming pool surrounded by a garden that is just an amazing small forest. Restaurant is great and staff extremely polite! One of the best place we have been and not only in Asia. The atmosphere is just great .. a warning this place offers not just a good stay but is an experience!

If heaven was on earth, it would be there! Nothing fancy or bling bling, just pure natural and authentic Cambodian luxury style. Very friendly staff, owner from one of the top hospitality school in Switzerland, really close to the animated area of Pub Street and Angkor Wat. Perfect food, adapted to occidental taste with Cambodian roots. Just go there to really disconnect and get the best experience you can imagine!

Angkor Wat has to be on any bucket list and Sala Lodges is the place to stay when you go. The “rooms” are genuine local wooden built houses set in lovely grounds - pool , spa etc. The food is a mix of western and local Kyhmer - all delicious especially the breakfast bread and pastry selection. The lodges have aircon , hot and cold running water , mosquito nets - and lovely little touches such as locally made slippers and scarves. What makes this whole wonderful place though is the staff - all locals superbly marshalled by Arne and Simone Lugeon the owners. They are efficient , cheerful and always there . The hotel can also plan all of your trips - my tip is to not limit yourself to the temples of Angkor Wat. Take the sunset cruise on the Tonle Sap, go into the countryside and see the Ladies Temple and the amazing land mine museum. And of course if you need restaurant recommendations- and a tuktuk to get there , of course that is arranged too. I can’t praise the hotel highly enough - it isn’t 5 star international - it is better than that. A personal experience that caters to all your needs whilst also being aware of the environment- little or no plastic , recycle where possible. I have stayed in a lot of hotels around Asia and I really recommend you to Sala Lodges.

We absolutely loved our stay at Sala Lodges. The whole place is so beautifully done and everything has been thought of to experience a piece of laid back luxury. The houses are beautiful, the food delicious and the gardens lush. Thank you to everyone who made our visit so relaxing.

Beyond expectations and everything we could have hoped for. The setting is beautiful, private, authentic and transports you into your own private Cambodian village. Thoughtful touches and everything catered for. The setting and the facilities are amazing, but the staff make it special. Simone had a well trained and well cared for team who really enjoy being the perfect hosts. We felt completely looked after at all times. They knew what we needed and wanted before we did. They ensured that we maximised our time in Siem Reap whilst not overdoing it and still relaxing. The in house cooking class and market tour was great and the drivers and guides were extremely good.

A lovely quiet place to relax, great lodges with good amenities. Amazing staff sooo friendly. A shortish walk to the vibrant town, a little bit tacky in the centre. great food in the hotel and local restaurants. There’s plenty to do locally, Angkor complex being the obvious.
