The New Hobbit Hotel Rooms

Absolutely amazing place to stay!! Staff were lovely and welcoming, location on a beautiful hilltop with a full view of the beautiful Halifax. Would totally recommend if you’re looking for a cosy country vibe

Rooms where very cold,a small electric portable heater was in our room,mattress was very uncomfortable,food was very average.

Myself and my husband stayed for the night & we really enjoyed ourselves.room was spotlessly clean as was the bathroom which was also lovely.breakfast pots of porridge and crossaints were a nice touch.we sat outside on the balcony in the sunshine,the views are lovely we would definitely return

This is a gorgeous little find! Although it's an unmanned hotel, getting into our room couldn't have been easier. And once inside I was very impressed. Everything was spotless & really tasteful. We even got left a breakfast of porridge pots & pastries. It's a beautiful location & please ignore the comments about lots of sharp bends to get there, it's really not that bad at all. We went into Halifax for a gig & the Uber was £10. I would definitely stay here again.

We stayed for a wedding. We loved it! The room was super clean, cosy, and comfortable with blackout curtains. The bathroom was great and tidy too, with a powerful shower. I rang up the night before to get an early check in since the wedding started at 1 pm and check in was at 4 pm. Quick communication, and it was sorted for a fee. The taxi was about £8 to The View Bower Mill. We also found a great cafe close by for breakfast called The Willow Tree Cafe, which was a big bonus. Highly recommend for a budget-friendly stay!

What a gem of a find.(If you can handle a couple of steep hairpin bends... but I managed them) This was a last minute booking after visiting friends in the area. The room was just perfect for us. Clean. Spotless bathroom and an amazing walk-in shower. Ample tea/coffee making facilities and as an added bonus there was even instant porridge pots and croissants for a breakfast snack. I think next time I would maybe book a top floor (city view) room but that doesn't detract from how nice our room was. Plenty of parking spaces directly outside. Not sure why the actual hotel/bar/restaurant wasn't open, that would have been an added bonus but we just took a quick trip into Hebden Bridge for food. Best of all, the accommodation was an amazing price for two of us for one night

We needed a room for our friends 60th. What a stunning location and amazing views. Communication was fab. Easy parking. Room was modern and spotless with a cute balcony. Porridge and croissant was left for breakfast which was a nice touch. We loved it. Even better if ...if the pub had of been open. The walls need a re paint throughout. But didn't detract from our stay. 100% would return. We loved it.

Stayed 1 night to go to a concert at The Piece Hall. The New Hobbit Hotel Rooms are perfect! Lovely bedroom & bathroom which we're spotless & with a balcony with great views. Wasn't expecting the little continental breakfast nor the fridge. Comfy bed & so quiet so great night's sleep. Finally - an absolute bargain! Totally recommend.

Highly recommended We stayed here for one night while visiting family in the local area. And what a great, very affordable option. We had a nicely presented clean, comfy upstairs room with fab modern shower and plenty of tea and coffee. It was a nice touch by the owners to leave porridge pots too. Oh, and there’s plenty of easy parking. I grew up round these parts so I’m not fazed by the winding roads. Walking up to Norland from Sowerby Bridge is a greater challenge these days though! The location is so beautiful it was such a joy to watch the early morning mist over the valley from the little balcony. We’d definitely return.
