Zachwycający
SSeat 2AThis is an intimate 5-room establishment situated amidst the alleys of the Old Town, hence cars cannot drop passengers at the doorstep. Easy enough to catch a shuttle bus for EUR 8 from the airport to the bus station at the port, from which a Makarun staff will meet you and assist you with your luggage to the hotel, a 10-minute walk away.
Breakfast is a la carte, as is to be expected for such a small establishment, comprising 3 courses - pastry/toast, eggs of your choice with cold cuts, and a dessert, complemented by tea coffee and/or juice. Food was more than adequate in terms of quantity and quality.
My room was comfortable enough, though 2 issues were noticeable:
* Instead of a flat cotton bed sheet, there was a fitted sheet made of what seemed like jersey, and looked more like a mattress protector.This was pilled and coarse, in contrast to the far smoother cotton quilt cover. When I brought this to the attention of the staff they explained that this is standard for the hotel. Whilst it did not affect the quality of my sleep, the coarseness of the sheet wasn't entirely pleasant
* In the bathroom, the shower was mounted at waist height, hence one either had to hold the shower in one hand, or, if there was a need to use both hands to wash, then one would have to crouch under the shower while it was in its holder. Not particularly convenient.
Overall a comfortable stay in a convenient location, enhanced by the friendly and solicitous Ivan and Mario.

GGośćThis was a rushed booking due to our original hotel not having our booking. Normally I spend considerable time going through reviews etc, but with the Azur Palace (hotel?) it was a case of needs must.
Unfortunately although we had booked a deluxe double in our opinion it didn’t match similar 4 star hotel deluxe rooms. I mentioned this to reception but they weren’t really interested.
Appreciate we were virtually in the centre of split, with space at a premium, but the view of a small alley with graffiti an empty minibar, not even plugged in, an irritating dim light, I think from the a/c that ensured the room wasn’t completely dark. After trying to close it down without success I went to reception, which had a note with a phone number to call. I gave up went back to the room and tried throwing a towel over it.
Also no bar, although there are a few within couple of minutes.
Overall disappointing.

GGośćThe room was stunning and very clean. We were fortunate to have the room with a south facing balcony, which was a heat trap. It is situated in a very central area with lots of shops, bars, and restaurants near by.
The things which let the room down was the bang average speed WiFi, that once several folk throughout the hotel were on went pretty slow, which is sometimes the case. The TV brand is Grundig, which I never heard of and is not got any smart settings. There is an option to project your phone/ipad to it. The only issue is if the Internet is slow then it sometimes won't recognise... Get new TVs!
Communication could be improved, the gentlemen who checked us in said to contact him with any queries, I did so and had no reply. They could do with a system to drop off used towels and collect new clean towels from the reception area of the hotel.
Hopefully this constructive feedback will be acted on as it is minors things as mentioned above that are lowering the overall experience for fellow guests.

GGośćLocation was good as not far from the main train and bus station. Good communication beforehand from the manager asking me when I would be arriving and then providing details of the apartment and that it would be open with the key inside, so all worked well there. For a self catering style apartment no cooking facilities not a problem just thought there might be some, fridge, crockery and kettle in the room which were all good. Plenty of towels and bedding left for my stay. One thing was there was no communication about how to check out.

GGośćPrzedłużyłem pobyt o kolejne 2 noce, ponieważ lokalizacja hotelu jest idealna dla mojej grupy. Przestrzenie wspólne są przestronne, podobnie jak pokoje.
Dostaliśmy jednak pokój tuż przy windzie, a pokój miał drzwi do pokoju obok. Z tego powodu hałas sąsiadów ostatniej nocy był dość uciążliwy!
I znowu, śniadanie jest nieco rozczarowujące jak na hotel tej klasy. Na początku naszego pobytu w Splicie zatrzymaliśmy się w mniejszym, 4-gwiazdkowym hotelu i śniadanie było o wiele lepsze, podobnie jak cappuccino.

GGośćPro - very close to the Golden Gate and is easy to find. Check in is straightforward. The room is on the first floor above ground so it wasn't the most difficult thing to lift our luggages up.
Con - (1) the actual room looks nothing like the pictures online. The online pictures (taken with wide lens mode) show the room to be much larger and brighter, whereas the room is in fact very small and relatively poorly lit. For one, the bed is literally two footsteps away from the door, and we were struggling to find space to open our luggages.
(2) One of the beds in the room is in fact a sofa bed, but the property did not declare this when we booked. We spent a lot of time trying to book places which do not use sofa beds but actual beds, and so we can't help but feel that we were misled and misrepresented to.
(3) There is a bit of noise. The property is right next to the road and near a pub with some rowdy youths at times.
(4) Facilities are minimal. There is only one chair, and the table is very small. Everything else is basic. Nothing luxurious about it despite its name and the photos.
(5) There is no lift at the property.
We would not have chosen this property if we had a second chance.

To nie jest jak hotel, bardziej jak willa, bezpieczeństwo nie jest bardzo wysokie, ponieważ ma 2 wejścia.
Wejście z basenu, każdy może do niego dotrzeć bez problemu.
Basen był dość brudny, ma wiele błędów pływających, a także nie został regularnie oczyszczony przez personel.
Podobno ma wiele restauracji w pobliżu, a jakość i cena są lepsze niż te posiłki turystyczne w starym mieście.
Winda została zepsuta pierwszego dnia, drugiego dnia poinformowali nas, że jest naprawiona, ale wciąż ma trochę nagły problem z zatonięciem.
Przypuszczam, że Chorwacja nie ma regulacji kontroli podnośnika o stałym terminie, ponieważ nie ma żadnego certyfikatu w podnośniku wewnątrz/w zewnątrz.
Jeśli hotel pokazał 3 gwiazdki i cena jest niższa.
Po prawej stronie balkonu jest duży pole tenisowe na poziomie 2nd-floor, jest bardzo blisko, i było bardzo niepokojące, że ludzie mogą łatwo spojrzeć na niego.
Super stary dywan, ma na nim jakieś plamy.
Zamek frontowy wygląda nowy, jest bezpieczny, ale niektóre instalacje elektryczne nie zostały zainstalowane prawidłowo, wygląda na to, że można je łatwo wyciągnąć.
Pole bezpieczeństwa elektrycznego nie działa z hasłem, hotel zostawił klucz w środku do użytku.
Urządzenie śniadanie jest dobrze zarządzane dla gości z wczesnej wycieczki, mogą umieścić pudełko śniadaniowe w tym 1 owoc, 3 chleby i 1 jogurt w 06am do 07am.

-Staff was very absent and you need a key to get in the hotel and in room. we forgot our key in our room and realised after dinner around 11pm and even though staff should be in hotel until 3am : no one was there . We had to contact by phone only but being Canadian we didn’t have a working phone . We almost slept outside. . We got help from neighbour restaurant.
- staff supposed to start again at 7 am ; we left at 8 without checking out as again there was no one .
- my daughter got her EarPods stolen in our room we could locate them with the Apple app and could see exactly where they were . Again no staff at all in hotel to tell them cleaning person stole. (We are SURE 100% they were stolen as they didn’t leave the room we never brought electronics with us anywhere and the location they were at was 7km away from hotel where we had never been.
- they offer steaming service, I wanted to use it but they told my it took 1 week to fet my clothing back .. we were there for 4 days. Staff offered to bring a steamer to my room so I could do it myself . They never brought it…
-there was a beautiful terrace on the 4th floor but we only found out about it on our last night .
- we wanted to go to a beach and the staff said it was a 45 min walk and that’s only way to go. We walked . Finally when we got there .. we could have takes a trolley for 3euro …. We took it to come back.

GGośćLocation is near Old Town and Diocletians Palace.
Rooms are large and bathrooms are great. Beds are comfortable. Staff are lovely.
Only down side was a horrible smell of sewerage coming into the bathoom. We had to change rooms due to it, then in the next room, leave the exhaust fan on constantly. Staff say it happens when wind is blowing.
