„Room is spacious and reasonably clean. Bed is comfortable. A family operation, is literally 3-5 mins walk from the Tourist Service Area, where one can purchase the entry ticket and is the entry point to ascend the north peak (including to reach the north peak cable car). If you prefer to hike all the way up instead of cable up, the start of walking trail is slightly more than 30mins walk away but seems like there is a free shuttle bus that would transfer people between this Tourist Service Area and the start of the walk trail. If you come by ”normal” train, you are about 10mins drive away. The husband of the hotel provides a one time service to either pick up or drop off to the train station. I suggest to use it for the latter as you would have hoards of cabbies trying to bring you from station. Currently the area where is the hotel is partially obscured by a major road expansion but don't let the cabby coax you to cancel this booking and move to their recommended hotels in the more touristic ”village centre”. On paper it sounds great but I find most eateries there sell the same choice of food and goods. For food, the wife of the hotel also operates a eatery on the ground floor of the hotel which I find tasty and reasonably priced. Note that this is budget hotel of simple fittings but I personally find of good value for money for a couple of nights after a long day up in the mountain. (I believe parking might be free there too but do check with owner to confirm).”

„This was one of the best experiences we've had at a hotel. The building is quite new, and the room, washroom, and amenities were all exceptional. The hosts were incredibly kind and helpful. The host picked us up from the train station, took us to a restaurant, picked us up after our meal, gave us fruit, and helped us buy the tickets for Huashan. He gave us a ride early in the morning to the mountain the next day, gave us hiking gloves which made hiking a lot easier, and picked us up after a full day of hiking. He did all of this without charging anything extra, which is above and beyond anything we could have asked for. We would highly recommend staying here!”

„Our stay at Hanshan Xiaozhu Homestay was absolutely perfect. The room was spotless with new furniture, new facilities, and a very comfortable atmosphere. Everything felt fresh and well-maintained. What truly made our experience unforgettable was the hospitality. The owner was incredibly kind—he offered us free rides to Huashan and even to the train station, which made our trip so convenient. We also enjoyed delicious food at the homestay, prepared with care and served with genuine warmth. The friendliness and generosity we experienced here were the highlight of our trip. We received the best hospitality, and we truly believe they deserve all the support. We will definitely come back again and highly recommend this homestay to everyone visiting the Huashan Scenic Area.”

„We had a wonderful stay here. The accommodation was clean, warm and great value. we chose the room looking out on the mountains. The hosts were incredibly kind and dropped us off and picked us up from the mountain office as well as the train station. There is also a restaurant on site and we sampled some very good dishes. I would recommend the mushroom and vegetables, sweet and sour pork and the traditional farmstyle tofu....but there are many options. I would recommend getting the pick up as it may be difficult without speaking Chinese. Would recommend for other travelers.”

„This is a homestay sort of guest House, location is in a type of New Village, easily accessable to many food stalls. It is near to the huashan Mountain. Close to high speed train station and public transports is convinently available,. Room are very spacious large and very clean and tidy it seems like a recently completed buildings, clean and tidy rooms Hotel is managed family wise, also they are very friendly and helpful, can arrange to fetch and send anyone to and from your requested destination, like to railway station, Mountain ticket centre etcs. Very highly recommenfstion for stay with this price.”

„The room was nice, the view of the mountain from my window was fantastic, and the people running the hotel are very lovely! Unfortunately the day before I arrived, Huashan was closed due to blizzard conditions. The night before Huashan opened again, the owner came to tell me that it would and even helped me plan my hiking route. She also gave me a pair of hiking gloves and let me borrow a trekking pole! She also offered me a hairdryer when I came downstairs with wet hair, and helped my put the New Years Gala on my tv. I was leaving on CNY, so it was very hard to get a taxi to the train station, but the owner managed to help me and find me one.”

„房間特別大！天花板很高，寬敞明亮通透舒適！屋裡都有迴音。大落地窗。通風好，緊靠青山。空氣清新。智能窗簾。方便！中央空調也很靈敏！大燈帶亮亮堂堂！電視巨大，還不用會員，新酒店，很乾凈。比我們在國外住的還要好！ 床很大，床品乾淨整潔，本來爬完華山太累了，想趕緊回去，結果睡到中午。備的有充電線。毛巾也挺乾淨。不需要用自己帶的一次性浴巾了。自助退房方便。細節決定一切！”

„A Truly Memorable Stay – Incredible Hospitality at the Foot of Mount Huashan I stayed here while preparing to hike the legendary Mount Huashan from the bottom, and I can honestly say the experience was made all the more special thanks to the incredible kindness and hospitality of the owners. From the moment I arrived, the owners went out of their way to make me feel at home. They provided a detailed and helpful briefing on how to explore the mountain safely, including routes, timings, and what to expect—something that gave me great confidence going into such a challenging hike. The real highlight, however, was their extraordinary help when I accidentally left my camera in a taxi. What could have been a disaster turned into a heartwarming reminder of genuine human kindness. The owners took it upon themselves to contact the driver, coordinate the return, and made sure I got my camera back safely. They didn’t have to go to such lengths, but they did so without hesitation. They were also incredibly accommodating when it came to practical matters—arranging food deliveries after a long day on the trail, and organizing a smooth taxi ride back to the train station when it was time to leave. If you're planning to hike Mount Huashan and are looking for a place that feels more like staying with family than in a hotel, this is the one. I can’t recommend it highly enough.”
