„Very nice staff and extremely close to the monastery entrance without the noise being too bad, tucked round a corner off the main drag. The rooms are spacious and comfortable - the only issue we had was no hot water for the first night/ morning - after we spoke to the lady at reception it was fine for the remainder of our stay. The bar area is nice, we didn't try the food but very cosy for drinks.”

„Incredible stay at the Xicheng Inn. The hotel is very cozy with fascinating decor. I loved spending time in the third-floor library, filled with cultural artifacts, games, and books – you'll never get bored! The hospitality from the hotel staff is also unmatched. I stayed alone but never felt lonely. They take guests on walks around the city to discover ******* culture. „Wonderful place and wonderful family! The best accommodation we stayed in in China. Perfect position very close to the monastery. Very clean. As soon as we arrived we were greeted with a snack of dried dates, bread, butter and tzampa, accompanied by some delicious tea. We stayed with this family for two days and they always offered us breakfast, the first day with house tea and fresh bread, the second day with coffee and fried bread. We spent the evening with them and they always kept offering us food and tea, always making us feel welcome. The house is wonderful, ******* style, wooden, always very clean. The beds are really comfortable, and they have a warming blanket. Inside our room we also had an electric heater to warm ourselves, which made the room really warm and cosy. The bathroom has hot water. You can fill your water bottles from the drinking water containers they have in front of each room. We always saw them cleaning the common areas. The owner, his wife and their three children welcomed us warmly like family. I will recommend them to all my friends. Really recommended!”

„Rzadko piszę recenzje, ale tym razem chcę zostawić pamiątkę. To bardzo ekonomiczny zajazd. Szefowa jest delikatna i miła, szefowa jest prosta i uczciwa, a czysty pokój z tybetańskimi cechami jest niesamowity. Chociaż izolacja akustyczna jest trochę gorsza, to nic w porównaniu z tymi wszystkimi zaletami i można ją zignorować. Nepalskie jedzenie w restauracji na pierwszym piętrze jest całkiem autentyczne. Najbardziej zaskakujące jest to, że kupiłem w tym sklepie rzadką i superteksturalną pamiątkę z podróży - tybetański magnes na lodówkę. W końcu większość pamiątek, które widzę, jest bardzo powszechna. Ten magnes na lodówkę zaprojektowany i wyprodukowany przez samą szefową jest szczególnie wyjątkowy w moich podróżach. Bardzo mi się podoba!!!”

„A quiet and cozy place with a homely atmosphere and clean and tidy rooms. The common space is charming, built of wood, with comfortable seating and vegetation. The homeowners are pleasant, kind, helpful and with lots of good will. The location is great, less than 2 minutes walk from the main street, about 10 minutes walk to Labrang Monastery.”

„I really enjoyed my stay and would definitely recommend staying here. The hotel is right next to the entrance of the monastery and most rooms have a nice view of the lively main street and the mountains behind. The rooms also have built-in heating so the room is not cold during the colder months. The bed is very comfortable. Staff doesn’t always speak English but they are very friendly. The hotel is a little bit outdated, but I think it is one of the best places to stay in Xiahe because of the location and it offers everything you need.”

„Our stay here was lovely, with kind staff. We are Australian and our check-in was easy. However, please note that the name of the hotel name is “Samphel Dhondup Hotel”, and it is located near the southern corner of 腾志路, Tengzhi Road, near the Monastery Ticket Centre and the river. This was confusing upon arrival. The heated floors were extremely hot, and not able to be turned off. Our room was a sauna, despite being -4°c outside (we had our window open the whole time). Hopefully this can be fixed. Breakfast was small but we were here during the offseason.”
