This stay at the movie-themed hotel was an absolute delight, a five-star recommendation! The receptionist, Xiao Lei, was incredibly welcoming and attentive. Check-in was efficient and quick, and she was always smiling and helpful. She patiently answered all my questions about room types, facilities, and nearby restaurants, and meticulously explained the unique features of the movie-themed rooms. Her gentle attitude instantly dispelled my travel fatigue, leaving a perfect first impression. The room was impeccably clean. It was spotless and odorless, the bed was soft and fluffy, the bedding was breathable and gentle on the skin, the desks and windowsills were spotless, and there was no dust in the crevices of the appliances. The bathroom was dry and clean, and toiletries were neatly arranged – attention to detail was evident. The most amazing feature was the movie-themed room. A huge screen with a high-definition projector and immersive surround sound created a truly immersive experience. The room's decor recreated classic movie scenes, creating a truly atmospheric ambiance. Watching a movie from the sofa felt like having a private cinema! The layout was well-designed, ensuring that watching or relaxing didn't disturb each other, making for a truly comfortable and enjoyable stay. This hotel is very good. The room is spacious and quite classy and it's also very clean. The beds are very comfortable and the girls at reception are more than helpful. Hotel's location is also convenient - there are plenty of restaurants around. Breakfast is OK. Overall, great value for money.

We stayed at this Blue Horizon about 4 times before Covid, and we always liked it. During our recent stay, there were still a lot of things we liked. The rooms are clean. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The room rates are good. The breakfast is excellent. The beds are on the hard side, but that is common in China. You can tell the hotel is getting a little old as it was built in 1994. However, it has been kept in very good condition, and many of the rooms seem like they have been remodeled. The big negative for us was the air conditioning. It was hot in Dongying while we were there. Even when the air conditioning is running normally, it does not work very well. The only control in the room is a fan speed control, and even at high speed, the room does not cool very well. The problem is that they turn off the air conditioning system for hours during the day and night. When the air conditioning was off, the room would get very hot. It was so uncomfortable, that we were forced to check out and move to a different hotel. Apparently the Blue Horizon is having financial problems, and I am guessing that they turn off the air conditioning system to save money. We also heard that the employees are not being paid regularly. That is unfortunate because the employees at this hotel are wonderful.
