„This is my favourite hotel on our travels around Japan. The room size was a little small but it was fine for a few nights as a base to explore Kyoto. It's walking distance from some great sites like Nijo Castle, the Samurai Ninja museum and the bustling market. The transport links are great and easy to get to most places of interest.
Staff were very helpful and even rushed to fetch towels when we came in from the rain.
There is no restaurant on site so, breakfast is only a bento box but it was so tasty! And there's a fantastic little cafe/restaurant just down the street (to the right as you leave the hotel) which was lovely for dinner.
My only suggestion is that it would be nice to have a larger selection of manga in English or other languages.”

„All receptionists are super nice, supportive and speak English comprehensively. The location is surrounded by stations but using bus would be more convenient. Take into you consideration if you arrive at JR Kyoto station, you would need to drag your luggages for 1km. But it didn’t bother me tho, just the towels and bed sheet. Those seems to be aged after long time using it. I can’t use their towel cuz the color changed. The bed sheet is nearly worn-out, its surface is rough.”

„this is a little bit far from mtr line, but infront of bus staff, the room is small that you need to move the bed to open the door, they is a free curry rice everynight so good for budget concious traveller,

EEliza2911Niepowtarzalny pobyt w hostelu z prywatnym pokojem, ale wspólną łazienką. Czysty i wygodny. Lokalizacja w Kioto jest idealna — tuż przy dworcu autobusowym, z którego wsiadłem do nocnego autobusu do Tokio (podziękowania dla dziewczyny recepcjonistki, która powiedziała mi, gdzie kupić bilet!). Do wszystkich głównych atrakcji doszedłem stąd pieszo, a po drugiej stronie ulicy znajduje się sklep 7-Eleven. Hol jest przestronny, świetny do jedzenia lub relaksu, a nawet oferują naprawdę ładne piżamy. Gorąco polecam zostać przynajmniej jedną noc, aby zwiedzić Kioto!

JJulianto Chuen+ this hotel 01 station only from Kyoto Station, using metro and stop at Koji Station , and then walking about 15minutes to the hotel
+ The easy way to reach this hotel is using bus, and stop at Kujo Omiya. Many bus have direct route to Gion, and other tourist spot (about 30 minutes riding). Please take a notes, this hotel is not in tourist area, very quiet and you will meet with many local people here.
+ this hotel have a concierge and standby staff, so you can keep the luggage before checkin.
+ this hotel is very new, i think maybe open early 2026, when we proceed for the check in, the hotel staff gave us some welcoming gift, and we can saw many flowers buoquet there. And the good news, yes they have an elevator, so no issue for thise who bring big luggage
+ Room very clean and tidy. We book for 03 persons, and they prepare room with 04 twin beds (separate 02 rooms). Inside room have bathtub, laundry, kitchen + equipment, and 01 dining table.
+ I think maybe this is the best hotel we stay at Japan. Very modern, all brand new, many USB port inside the room, wifi connection is strong, really quiet and really convenient for stay
+ around 05 minutes walking, you will find japanese ramen noodle resto, and also local mini market.
- a little bit troublesome for communicate with the hotel staff, because when we want to make sure about Yamato Delivery Service to this hotel, it was so hard to reach to hotel staff throung phone / email. When we asking to the hotel staff about this, they said they not receiving any chat from the trip.com / ******* platform. I dont know where is the issue, maybe because this hotel very new or they are not ready yet for the online communication

Overall it was a nice stay, and definitely really recomend this hotel for stay at Kyoto.

MMaemeehI had a wonderful stay at this hotel! The location is absolutely perfect — right in the heart of Kyoto city. It’s just a short walk to both the train and bus stations, which made getting around super convenient. Plus, it’s very close to major shopping malls Takashimaya where you can buy Marukyu koyamaen matcha. The hotel itself was clean, comfortable, and the staff were very friendly. They also have a washing machine and dryer available, which is really convenient for longer stays. However, there’s only one of each, so if it gets busy, you might need to wait your turn. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Kyoto! They also has nearby Izakaya that the owner was so kind and foreigner friendly welcome.

PPatchichiGreat place to relax and unwind after spending the day in Tokyo! Staff were extra kind and extremely helpful. The facilities and decor are top-notch. The aesthetic of the room was incredibly well thought out - the dimmed lighting makes the room even more relaxing - the hot tub/onsen on the first floor is extremely well maintained and great after walking all day. There's a nice cafe connected to the lobby and a Family Mart five steps from the hotel entrance. Would highly recommend if you need to be near Kyoto station.

From the moment I arrived, the staff was welcoming, professional, and attentive, which immediately set a positive tone for my stay. The check-in process was smooth and efficient, and I appreciated how clearly everything was explained.
The room itself was spacious, clean, and well-maintained. The bed was very comfortable, and I had no trouble getting a good night’s sleep. The décor was modern and tasteful, and all the basic amenities were provided, including toiletries, a coffee machine, and reliable Wi-Fi. Housekeeping did a great job each day, keeping everything tidy and replenished.
One of the highlights of the hotel was its facilities. The common areas were clean and nicely designed, and there was a relaxing atmosphere throughout the property. The breakfast was also quite good, offering a variety of options to suit different tastes. While it wasn’t the most luxurious breakfast I’ve ever had, it was definitely above average and satisfying.
The location of the hotel was another strong point. It was conveniently situated, making it easy to access nearby attractions, restaurants, and transportation. This made getting around very simple and added a lot of value to the overall experience.
That said, there were a few minor areas that could be improved. At times, service could be slightly slow during busy hours, and a few small details in the room showed slight wear. However, these issues were not major and did not significantly affect my stay.
Overall, this hotel offers great value for money and provides a comfortable and enjoyable experience. It may not be perfect, but it certainly meets the expectations of a 4-star hotel. I would happily recommend it to others and would consider staying here again in the future

GGośćI really enjoyed staying at this ryokan in Gion, Kyoto. I only stayed for one night but I wish I had stayed for longer!
Upon arrival, you must remove your shoes before entering and checking in. The check in process was quick and simple. Once checked in at the front desk, I was taken to my room and a member of staff sat with me at the table and poured tea etc. Possibly due to language barriers though, it was entirely clear what was going on the whole time so I was mostly just confused. It would have been nice to have some form of explanation beforehand as to the check in process and what was expected when staying at the property so that I appreciated the experience as it happened. I did receive a leaflet on all such things post-check in (which was an amazing touch!) so I guess I learnt in hindsight what had happened! I left the property soon after but upon return, the staff had clearly been in my room to tidy away the tea etc, which again I was not aware would be happening!
The location of the property was really great and I was able to walk to most places I wanted to visit, other than most temples which I got public transport/a taxi to.
The room itself was beautifully traditional, though the bathroom facilities were very basic. The futon bed was very comfortable and I had a great night's sleep. It was certainly an experience to stay in the room and try on the traditional clothing provided.
The room included breakfast (was unaware of this too!) that was to be delivered to the room but I was unable to experience this as I left earlier than the breakfast time. Check out was simply handing back the key before leaving so was very quick! The property gave me a lovely souvenir to take back too which, again, was a lovely touch!
Overall, a really great property that I wish I'd had more time to experience!

DDr.p3pp3rI stayed here in a double room and overall had a pretty good experience. The room was clean and comfortable, and both the air conditioning and heater worked very well. One thing that really stood out was the bathroom — the bathtub was much larger than what you usually get in Japan. I’m a tall person, and I could actually sit down and lie back comfortably, which is rare. Most hotel baths feel very small, but this one felt closer to around 1.4m in length, which made having a bath genuinely enjoyable.
The bed was comfortable, and housekeeping did a great job — the bed was made every day with fresh sheets. Wi-Fi was also very fast, which was a big plus. Amenities were decent, and you can pick up extra items if you need them.
Check-in is a bit late at 3pm, which I didn’t love, but that’s balanced out by an 11am checkout. Having that extra time in the morning made it feel worth it overall.
I did have a couple of negatives. The strangest one was finding an old sock behind the TV when I arrived. It was very obvious and not hidden, so I’m not sure how it was missed during cleaning. It was a bit gross, but I just left it.
Another downside was the mini fridge — it’s more like a cooler than a real fridge. It keeps drinks from getting warm, but they don’t get properly cold. In summer, this really wouldn’t be good enough. Replacing it with a proper mini fridge would be a big upgrade.
The other major issue was the lift. It is painfully slow, and there’s only one lift for the upper floors. On checkout day, I left my room about 10 minutes before checkout time, and I almost didn’t make it downstairs in time because of how slow it was. That part was honestly pretty ridiculous.
Location-wise, this hotel is excellent. It’s very easy to get to from Kyoto Station — just head south and you’re there in about 4–5 minutes. It’s also very convenient when leaving Kyoto by train.
A tip for using the subway: instead of going back to Kyoto Station, walk right from the hotel to Shijō Station. It’s on the same subway line, you’ll get on before Kyoto Station, and the train is empty — so you’re almost guaranteed a seat and can ride comfortably to your destinations.
For food and shopping, there’s a shopping mall just across the road toward the station with a Don Quijote, McDonald’s, and other options. The hotel is also right next to a Coco Ichibanya curry house, which is fantastic and open late.
Overall, despite a few odd issues, this was a solid stay with a great location, good comfort, and very easy access to transport. I’d happily consider staying here again.

GGośćLocation not the best and can find nearer to Kyoto station with same price. The location only good to go Nijojo castle, Toji Temple & Ginkako temple. Nothing much nearby, no night bars only a restaurant opposite it.
The worst was no lift, for a female with 20 kg luggage, I have to carry it for 4 levels up and down all by myself. It’s understandable no space to install lift, but pls consider to install a luggage travel lift.
Layout of the room is very good especially bath and toilet inside the room. Some may not like it cause ppl may back late night to bath and make noises. But I do like the single room layout with small dress up table before the capsule bed.

SSingravellerOgólnie pobyt był udany, chociaż dość długi spacer od stacji w Kioto, ale droga jest płaska.
Dwie małe uwagi: jeśli wypożyczysz rower, nie ma gdzie zaparkować. Żeński onsen nie jest tak czysty jak w innych hotelach, w których byłem w Japonii, widzę sporo włosów unoszących się w powietrzu.
Mimo wszystko, za tę cenę, całkiem przyzwoite, a jedzenie jest również całkiem pyszne. Przypomina mi szkolną stołówkę. Dołączyłem zdjęcia jedzenia w celach informacyjnych.
