We are pet friendly please just message us letting us know you have a pet coming with you so we can approve them for your stay and send you the pet fee. The main level features a living room, Vaulted ceilings, Bear decor throughout the cozy cabin, flat screen TV in the living room, brand new queen size sleeper sofa, recliner, child’s rocking chair, and toys/ books for children. The bedroom features a brand new plush pillow top queen size mattress , tv, nightstand, bear lamp, and chest of drawers in the closet. The closet also has extra blankets, pillows for the sleeper sofa, a large comforter for the sleeper sofa, and extra sheets. There is also hangers in the closet. You will also find an iron and iron board if needed.There is also fully equipped kitchen and dining table, full bathroom/shower/ tub, and washer/dryer. We have a new Keruig that takes pods and will take ground coffee. We provide coffee pods and seasonal pods in the drawer below the Keurig. The deck features a 2 person hot tub and outdoor patio seating area. During the evening you may see deer crossing through the yard. In the morning, you will hear the birds singing. Enjoy a cup of coffee from the deck and watch the sunrise.The yard is very large for children to run around, dogs to play, and adults to play corn hole! The corn hole boards are in the shed. There is also a picnic table and grill around back!Take a walk around the neighborhood. This recently designed 3 level log home features an open floor plan where the kitchen, dining area and living room seamlessly blend into each other. Lots of light is provided through the two story high windows and a huge wraparound deck and covered porch are easily accessed for outdoor dining. A stone fireplace with a pellet stove makes for cozy winters and above the fireplace whilst an authentic Black Bear watches over you. The kitchen of course is fully equipped with everything you would expect and the furniture in the living room is very comfortable. Towards the back, you will find the Master Bed Room with a queen bed. It connects to the Master bathroom with Jacuzzi tub, separate shower, toilet and a double vanity.The house offers easy access for those with moderate mobility problems, as we installed a gently sloping ramp between the parking lot and the front door.Upstairs, you will find two bed rooms, each with two twin beds. One of the two bed rooms has private access to the full bathroom with separate toilet, shower tub and double vanity. At the front of the house, there is a loft for relaxing with extensive views. On the lower level, you will find another bed room with a queen bed. The bathroom has a tiled shower, toilet and sink. The Family room offers a comfortable two seat sofa, a couch, an easy chair and a 42 inch TV. At the back of the cabin, there is a picnic table, fire pit and a park style grill. Feel free to use any and all river access and all of the fire-pits on property (3 total). Down-river is all NPS land and is open to the public, we have a trail extending to the falls below, and beyond. Thanks, enjoy!Other things to noteThe cottage is located next to a railroad track. Feel free to use the fire pit between the two houses and any of the river access from the fence down. Down river, there is a private trail that leads to a fire pit and rock beach. Access to entire 60 acre property and trails and fire pits. Located only minutes off Interstate 77 near Ghent. Great cell phone reception. Stars out here are VERY bright. Wi-Fi, White linens/towels, smoker+grill, & washer/dryer. This secluded home is an experience in itself. The pictures never due the view justice. The Mushroom Trail now open - free to guests. Wal-Mart does deliver here. Guests will access the home via a completely private check-in. The door code and map link will come early on the day of arrival via your messages. Walmart does deliver here. The “million dollar view” was coined by a guest and we hope it meets your expectations. Many of us are working to make sure you enjoy this Mountaintop Retreat. We provide initial supplies. If you need more of something it will be up to you to provide them. There is a store within 10 minutes. We love coffee. There is a Keurig machine and a regular coffee machine that makes pots and cups. We provide 15 Keurig cups per guest stay. Outdoor furniture, fire pit, and smoker grill included with each booking at no extra cost. We do sell firewood for $10 per large bag.We recommend 4x4 or all wheel drive from December to mid March. We keep our road plowed so it’s usually in good shape but winter storms can happen during these months.The two best things this mountain has to offer is the stars on a clear night and the sun rises up behind the view and is one of the most beautiful things you'll see all year. When the sun rises it allows you to see just a little further than during the day. Prior to the first family inhabiting this gravel road it was used as a bird sanctuary. To this day, the entire road maintains one of the most diverse displays of Appalachian aviary wildlife. Mushroom Trail 🍄 is now open and free to all guests. It features over 60 different giant mushrooms, giant flowers, and a large natural sandbox to give your little ones something to do. Giant connect 4, & corn hole boards are also on site and free to use. Please no business use or parties without owner written consent. We do have outdoor security cameras on site mainly for theft.
