This is a newly renovated, top-floor 3BR / 4BT 2-story loft with cathedral ceilings at the Rising Bear Condos. We are a family with 3 kids and starting to rent out our unit on the weekends that we're not using it. You walk 5 mins to Stratton mountain to ski and to the village which has plenty of restaurants, bars, shops, ice cream, coffee, pizza, etc. Also, there is a dedicated shuttle that picks you up in the heated garage and drops off right at base mountain.The unit has plenty of space for 2 families and comfortably sleeps 9 people -- there are two master bedrooms each with its own bath and a kid's bedroom with four twin beds and 1 full-size bed. The new kitchen has a large counter with 4 stools making it a centerpiece for breakfast in the morning and wine/conversation in the evening. The dining room table is set for 6, and the two leaves expand the seating for larger parties. The upstairs loft is a large and fun spot for kids to play on the arcade console w/ 1,000+ games (Pac-Man, Frogger, etc), foosball and bean bag, and plenty of space for air mattresses if you need more space. The balcony overlooks the valley and mountains and is a perfect way to start your day with a cup of coffee. Washer and dryer in the unit. Plus a full-time on-site caretaker.Out front, you have a heated outdoor pool, 2 hot tubs, a sauna, a firepit, and ice skating (skate rentals available). Or plan an afternoon of kayaking or paddle boarding at any of the close by ponds or reservoirs: Stratton Snow Making pond - less than 10 minutes away and easy on and off for your paddle board or kayak.Grout Pond - about 20 min drive on the other side of Stratton mountain but so beautiful and clean. You can also fish here.Lowell Lake in Londonderry - 20 min and a beautiful location for kayaking and paddle boarding. It also has a 3.5 mile hike around the lake, picnicking, boating and fishing.Townshend Lake - 20 minutes and perfect for picnics and outdoor recreation. The lake includes flush toilets, drinking water, playgrounds, volleyball courts, horse shoe pits, a swim beach and hiking trails available throughout the park. This lake is also stocked once a year with rainbow trout.Also keep a look out for fun events held by Stratton, like the tough mudder in early June or plan a day of mountain biking with some friends!
