„One of the best hot spring hotels even experienced in Japan! New, clean and comfy environment, the buffet dinner and breakfast provided wide variety of food. Additional drink and snack served in the common areas even not paid for the meal options. The staff are friendly as usual in Japan. Also the private onsen available without extra cost. Highly recommended!”

„The hotel was located a bit further out from the main attractions. However, with that its also at a quieter area and nice break away from the touristy area. Because of the location, it is also convenient to get to the Gotemba outlet mall. There’s a mountain view outside the balcony. A convenience store and bus stop just right outside the hotel. We felt the breakfast served was underwhelming, and the same food was served on the 2 days we were there. The hotel was spacious and really clean, interior design was beautiful. The hotspring was really nice as well. The staff recommended the Izakaya restaurant called Monta, just few minutes walk from the hotel. The food was really good and open till 12am!”

„Wrażenia z pobytu w hotelu były mieszane. Pozytywy: teren hotelu ma bogatą historię, ogród japoński był piękny i stanowił najlepszą część hotelu. Posiłki wliczone w cenę były dobre, ale nie spektakularne – jednak otoczenie z widokiem na ogród japoński było piękne. Negatywne: obiekt był przestarzały i wymagał niewielu poprawek. Dostępny był tylko jeden klucz do zamka, co sprawiło, że moja żona i ja byliśmy bardzo uciążliwi, ponieważ musieliśmy cały czas na siebie czekać. Wejście do onsenów dla mężczyzn musiało przechodzić przez wspólną część dla mężczyzn i kobiet, więc trzeba było się przebrać, żeby tam wejść – niezbyt dobrze. Łaźnia onsen była przestarzała i zużyta. Oświetlenie w pokoju było słabe, a wyposażenie widocznie przestarzałe. Najgorsze było to, że rano po powrocie z kąpieli onsen odkryłem w łazience dużego karalucha. Rozwaliłem go, a zdjęcie jest załączone. Mieliśmy wysokie oczekiwania, wybierając się do hoteli, którym polecali nas japońscy znajomi. Byłem dość rozczarowany. Wcześniej zatrzymywałem się w innych dobrze ocenianych ryokanach i większość z nich spełniała lub przewyższała moje oczekiwania. Ten jednak był daleki od ideału.”

„We had a really great experience at this hotel. There is a shuttle bus near the hotel that takes you to and from the JR Gotemba station and the Gotemba Premium Outlets. The room is really big for a Japanese hotel, and you even have a jacuzzi/hot spring bath in your own room! As for breakfast, it is buffet style with a good selection. The food is also delicious! The best part of all is still the service they provide. At the Fuji Outlet Hot Spring Hotel, they really go out of the way to serve their guests. We had 2 suitcases stored in the hotel when we checked out and went shopping at the outlets. We went back to the hotel to pick up our suitcases at around 19:20 and intended to take a taxi to the JR Gotemba station to catch a train back to Tokyo station. The front desk staff helped us call a taxi but no taxi would take the order because there was a bad traffic jam. It was on 3rd January 2025, a public holiday, and there were many cars heading for the outlets. Upon knowing our dilemma, I think it was the hotel owner, instructed a staff who just got off duty to drive us to the station. He even checked the train schedule for us! They refused to accept when we offered payment for the ride. Overall, the service was superb and I will definitely recommend this hotel to everyone. They have front office staff who speaks either fluent English or Chinese. We wish to thank the owner and his staff for such great service and will definitely stay in this hotel again if we were back in Gotemba.”

„Beautiful resort in the middle of a remote forest area, perfect for relaxation and connecting with nature. The rooms are cosy and clean. The breakfast was absolutely amazing, with chefs preparing freshly made dishes right in front of you! We did find a bug in the room but the hotel is in the middle of the nature so we didn't mind really. The onsen was ok but it was not mixed. Note that if you are not arriving by car and you have luggage, the hotel is uphill so better contact the staff in advance so they can arrange a pick up for you.”

„Beautiful hotel with a really large, clean and comfortable room. Appreciated the complimentary drinks in the room, and at the foyer (in the morning) and bar (during happy hour). Lovely view of Mt Fuji across the lake as well, worth every penny. Unfortunately Mt Fuji was covered by clouds for most of our trip, but the only time we were able to see it mostly in full was at the hotel. Onsen experience was also great; while it was a public onsen, other guests did not really use it, which was a real shame as there was a jacuzzi and outdoor onsen inside. Only downside was the central air conditioning which made the room feel a bit too warm after coming back from the onsen, but otherwise still a comfortable stay.”

„Had a delightful stay at the ryokan. The rooms are quite impeccable with the smell of the hinoki filling the room, it was quite heavenly. We chose the room with the outdoor bath. And given the cool weather, our bathing experience was amazing. The location was also perfect if you are making a trip to the Sengokuhara Susuki Pampas Grass fields, which is such a scenic spot and of which we enjoyed walked to and through in the setting sun. We also opted to have dinner at the ryokan, who specially made it Halal-friendly for us. What's most amazing to us regarding the ryokan was the service. We had a Nepalese staff speaking with us most of the time, as he was the best in English. He personally brought us to our room and even gave an introduction to the room, and what we needed to take note off. After we checked out, he enquired how we were making our way to the train station. There was conveniently located bus stop just outside the ryokan, so we were going to take that. On our way out, he drove out and stopped along the road beside us (good thing there was no traffic) and to our utter surprise offered to drive us to the train station. We found out that he was actually knocking off, but instead of going straight home to rest (before his next shift in the evening), he wanted to drive us to the station. We were exceptionally touched at his extremely kind gesture (as we didn't think it was hotel protocol to do so). Nonetheless, his actions left us a beautiful and lasting impression on the ryokan. Would definitely go again for the luxurious experience!”

„The hotel deserves an excellent mark. The hotel is situated next to Central Station; nevertheless, it is a very calm area. I was on my way from Mt. Fuji to take the Shinkansen to Osaka, so I decided to stay in the little town of Numazu to get real fresh sashimi at the Fish Market. Daiwa Roynet Hotel Numazu was a perfect solution. The room was very bright, clean, and spacious. The personnel were very kind and spoke English. If you are lucky enough, you'll get a room with a view of Mt. Fuji just from your window. So, I can give only positive feedback. Highly recommended!”

„Managed to get on the last boat ride across Lake Ashi and was there in time for the hotel shuttle pick up. It was pitch dark out around 5pm during Japan's autumn however the hotel lobby is cozy and inviting, one that is full of history. The friendly front desk handed me a key with a large wooden key chain, and I checked out the large room prior to my dinner timing. There's a door to partition the bedroom and toilet/entrance area which felt nice. Dinner was a set menu and one that was filling. There are ice machine dispenser at the male onsen level and female onsen was on the highest floor. There's a lift that brings you to right outside the spa so visitors won't have to walk across the lobby area in their yukatas. Onsen was clean and spacious, there's a shower area to clean up, a sauna, outdoor and indoor onsen. Dressing room area has all the amenities you need and the ice popsicle after onsen is a nice touch. Woke up the next morning to catch the sunrise and caught a nice view of golden rays spewing across Lake Ashi, the garden and the glorious Mount Fuji right from my room. 100% recommended staying at this hotel! Had a super filing Japanese breakfast and checked out to explore the rest of Hakone.”
