„The Pullman at Dali wa beautiful, modern and clean. Breakfast was good especially the Egg Benedict by the Chef. The restaurants recommended by hotel were great too. Everything was perfect except one key reminder for all travellers: we went there in December, but heating/airconditioning temperature was centralised and could not be adjusted despite the existence of adjustment buttons. As a result of that and the fact that our room was sun-facing, the room was very hot (28 degrees) and stuffy. What deserved a round of applause was the attitude of Eleven, the Manager of the Hotel. She changed us to a lake facing room and ensured that the airconditioner was off and the windows were opened the whole time. We appreciate her patience and professionalism - thank you. Tip: if you dont think you would get used to really warm heating, get a lake-facing room and do not turn on the airconditioner.”

Jedynym minusem było dodatkowe łóżko dla mojego dziecka. Bardzo twardy materac, a rama skrzypiała i trzeszczała, gdy ktoś po niej chodził. Powinni to poprawić. Obsługa była doskonała. Sześć gwiazdek! Serdeczna, przyjazna i troskliwa. Zawsze uśmiechnięta i chętna do pomocy. Zrobiliśmy trochę prania i suszyliśmy się przy wannie. Personel sprzątający to zauważył i przyniósł wieszak na ubrania, a następnie powiesił je na dziedzińcu, żeby lepiej schły. Wspaniała inicjatywa! Wiele razy zamawialiśmy jedzenie z dostawą, a oni z radością przynieśli je do naszego pokoju. Kierownik również był świetny. Zawsze sprawdzał, czy wszystko w porządku i chętnie udzielał przydatnych wskazówek. Restauracja była dobra. Śniadanie było ograniczone, ale dobrej jakości i wystarczające. Kolacja też była w porządku, kuchnia lokalna. Na wyjeździe dostaliśmy owoce, przekąski i wodę na dalszą podróż. Gorąco polecam”

„Had a wonderful stay at Mengling Yayuan Hotel in Dali from 19 to 21 December 2025. The staff were exceptionally attentive and went out of their way to make my visit memorable—from a smooth check-in to thoughtful local recommendations, their hospitality truly stood out. The room was spacious, elegantly decorated, and equipped with modern amenities that made the stay both comfortable and convenient. I especially enjoyed the daily local breakfast options of noodles or congee, the relaxing afternoon tea, and the delicious desserts served in the evening. As we had an early checkout, the staff thoughtfully prepared a takeaway breakfast for our onward journey, which was greatly appreciated. „A Two-Night Stay with My Parents -＞ Whole Family Was Delighted I stayed at Indigo for two nights with my parents, and it was a truly satisfying experience for the whole family. The location is convenient, making it easy to get around. Our room had a beautiful lake view with a wide, open sightline. We absolutley loved it as soon as we walked in. The room itself was very comfortable, giving us a sense of ease and relaxation. Indigo has always been known for its distinctive design style, and this property truly weaves an artistic touch into every corner. Whether in the guest room, the hallways, or the public spaces, everything felt pleasant and comfortable. I especially want to mention the second-floor lobby — it's spacious, bright, and full of design flair, making a striking impression the moment you see it. The gym and swimming pool on the 11th floor are also well maintained, with complete and tidy equipment — a clear reflection of the hotel's attention to detail. Breakfast was hearty, and my parents enjoyed it. By the way, if you're a coffee lover, be sure to stop by the hotel's coffee bar for a cup — there's a little surprise waiting for you. „A brilliant hotel for families. Very spacious and exquisite decoration and service. The pool is huge and they have a lot to do including a kid’s club, a big gym, and mini golf on the 8th floor of tower 1. Has an incredible pool and a great breakfast. Great location- Away from the crowds but only a 10 minute taxi ride to Erhai Lake to rent bikes or a 15-20 minute ride to Dali old city for street food. Tomas was excellent with guest service and their manager helped upgrade us to have free breakfast for our kids. I must have messaged Tomas 50 times asking about places to eat and visit and he was super responsive and helpful with all the local tips. Don’t stay anywhere else - this place is awesome.”

„From picking up from the train station, to daily amenities and services, it’s all exceptional. Breakfast spread was so wide it’s unlikely you’ll be able to try them all. Afternoon tea sets with fruits, cookies, tarts and cake was delicious. Attention to details like kid dental sets and in room baby shoe for my son was also so thoughtful. The view is nice, I wished I had booked longer to stay here. Will definitely come back this hotel again next time I come to Dali. The lady 程七七 from the hotel was also very helpful the entire time since before arrival with arrangements till check out. There’s also a small little playground area at lvl 2 of building 2 for small kids to play.”

„We enjoyed our stay here. It was in the quiet part of the old town and close to the road where you could get a taxi out. Very convenient. Service was also great and the staff helped us out with some challenges we had with the Chinese online booking systems eg for train tickets. The soundproofing didn’t bother us so much as it was low season so not a lot of noise. The only tiny thing was that there were ants in the room so you couldn’t leave food lying around and had to be careful where you left your belongings.”

„I had a wonderful 3 night stay at this hotel. It is beautifully decorated, and has a lovely well kept garden. The room is spacious and clean, many amenities are included in the room. The view of the lake is so stunning to wake up to. The buffet breakfast was varied and delicious. The service offered at the accommodation is exceptional, our house keeping staff Rourou/ Jack went out of their way to ensure our stay was comfortable - assisting across various parts of our trip from checking to make sure we have everything we need each day, connecting us with a driver as well as helping to bring our luggage down from the 3rd floor. As a person who speaks very little Chinese the staff were extremely accommodating and patient. Would highly recommend this hotel, and if I find myself back in Dali I will absolutely be staying here again!”

GGośćWe had a truly wonderful stay at this resort and were very impressed by the level of service provided. The staff were extremely attentive and thoughtful throughout our stay. Tea time and breakfast were available to be served in the room upon request, and they also provided cleaning services for our clothes. The team took really good care of us, recommending great food options around the resort and ensuring we were well looked after. They even helped to transport our luggage to the nearest pick-up point so that we could easily book a cab, which was greatly appreciated. Another highlight was the photography service. The resort engages professional photographers, and we were able to take beautiful photos within the resort as lasting memories of our trip. Overall, the service was exceptional, warm, and genuine. We felt very well taken care of and would highly recommend this resort to anyone looking for a comfortable stay with excellent hospitality.

DDELWYNTI had an amazing stay at Anyu Dali, and their hospitality truly exceeded my expectations. From the moment we arrived, the staff were incredibly helpful, assisting us with our luggage and even coordinating with the Didi driver when we were rushing to catch our railway. They went above and beyond by providing weather updates for our next destination, Lijiang, and noticing that we were unprepared for the cold, they thoughtfully gave us heat pads. As first-time guests, we were treated to complimentary afternoon tea and breakfast, as well as four free laundry items for washing. The welcome gift was a lovely touch, and they even prepared a warm nighttime drink before bedtime, making our stay feel extra special. What really stood out was their attention to detail—even knowing that we would be staying at Anyu Lijiang next, they arranged to give us our farewell gift there, considering our luggage was already full. The level of service here surpasses that of many well-known hotels, and I will definitely choose Anyu again the next time I visit China. Highly recommended for those who appreciate genuine hospitality!

KKatherineliewtanWe stayed at Lishe seaview resort hotel for 2 nights. The hotel upgraded us to a two-room apartment which I did not expect! The apartment had spectacular view of Erhai in the living room and master bedroom. I had the foresight of having one free and easy day and we pretty much stayed in most of the time to soak in the view. The staff service was amazing. The team reached out to me via trip.com the day before we check in (fantastic initiative) as overseas visitors like me are not familiar with the WeChat usage. When we arrive, the staff were on standby to receive us and bring us to the apartment as we got there via our own driver. The hotel sent nightly desert (white fungus) to our apartment. One important aspect of the hotel is the delicious and wide spread of breakfast. The breaky was on the highest floor offering great views of Erhai, and the lady attendant there was polite, cheerful and has great service. When we checked, the hotel staff came to the apartment and send us to the car. They also presented a farewell bag of goodies - including rose Chinese cakes (which were super delicious!), tea and sweets. It was an awfully thoughtful gesture. I had the rose Chinese cake during breaky and loved them. So I was super happy to find them in the farewell gift. I would strongly recommend a stay here if you are in Dali. Fellow Singaporeans- you would love this place! I think even if I did not get the upgrade, I would have loved the view too. Just keep one day of doing nothing and enjoy the beautiful view and the hotel hospitality. The hotel staff were service oriented, always smiling, polite and helpful. I mean every staff we encountered, even the cleaning staff! This hotel was a great highlight of our Dali stay. I would definitely come back to stay at Lishe when next back to Dali.

The rooms were impeccably clean and comfortable, providing a serene escape after long days of exploring. The afternoon tea and breakfast they served were nothing short of extraordinary. I’ve stayed in multiple 4-5 star hotels across China over the past month, but the gourmet food here easily surpassed them all. Every bite was thoughtfully prepared, leaving me in awe of the flavors and quality. The location of Sunyata Homestay is also perfect. It’s just far enough from the bustling crowds to remain peaceful and quiet, yet close enough to Dali Ancient City that it’s only a few steps away from great eateries and the heart of the ancient town. My father had a bad accident in Dali on a rainy day, and I can honestly say I don’t know what I would have done without his support. Despite my limited Mandarin, he spent an entire day accompanying me to the hospital, ensuring we were well cared for and understood. The next day, he went out of his way to pick up the CT scans for us. His kindness and compassion left me speechless. The owner’s dedication to his guests is reflected in his amazing team, all of whom go above and beyond. Without his help, I would have had to cut my trip to China short. After staying in the heart of Lijiang’s Ancient City, it was refreshing to be up in the mountains here—peaceful, scenic, and really fresh air—but still only about a 10-minute Didi ride into Dali Ancient Town when we wanted cobbled streets, fried cheese, rose cakes, and all the amazing food. We came here for our honeymoon and booked a hot spring villa, and to our surprise, we were upgraded to an even larger villa. The staff also surprised us with a bottle of red wine and a delicious cream cake—a really thoughtful touch that made our stay feel special. The hot spring itself was perfect. After a day of walking the Ancient City or biking around Erhai Lake, relaxing in the steaming water was heavenly. The villa’s private yard was beautifully designed and made for the perfect chill spot. The whole resort is landscaped with care—gardens, ponds, and mountain views everywhere you turn. The breakfast buffet was delicious and varied—plenty of choices to start the day right. It was all so nice that we extended our stay by a couple of days because we just didn’t want to leave. Another highlight is the location right next to the Chongsheng Temple complex. The temples are stunning and absolutely worth a visit, and at night you can even hear the bells ringing, which adds a magical vibe to the stay. All in all, Clouds Villa was everything we could have hoped for and more. I honestly wish I could live there forever.

From the minute that we arrived at the gate to Shuanglang, the butler was already waiting for us to transport out luggage in. The tea time snacks and fruits were freshly prepared and fabulous. As for the room, it had french influences and the amenities were of good quality! There was everything necessary and the butler replies whenever he could, super attentive individualistic service. I greatly appreciate this hotel! Views wise needless to say it's as good as it can ever be~
