Stirling South (M9, J9)

Good parking, clean refurbished room, nice restaurant on site, helpful staff. Great place to get your head down on the way to the Highlands. Very close to all of the attractions in sterling. Would highly recommend as a base to see the area before moving on.

The newly refurbished rooms were perfectly clean and comfortable. The bed was fabulous, mattress and duvet made us sleep so soundly. We arrived late and check in was super fast and the room was exactly what we needed. We didn't have any food here as had to drive north but everything else was great value for money.

The need of a good shower was paramount as we were spending 3 days emptying the father in law’s house, but alas the water pressure in the shower was pitiful (I could cry harder tears) as was the sink’s. We brought this to the attention of the staff but all they could do is give us a card to email the address on the card and said the room we were staying in (111) shouldn’t be bad water pressure, so who knows what the rest of the rooms were like. We ended up having to fill a bottle of water from the bath tap to ‘shower’! Can’t wait to get home for a decent wash! The attached restaurant on the first night had no vegetarian options available (after traveling from down south 7 hours just wanted food n bed) was not ideal. However, we did after that look for somewhere else to eat in the evening, which had a great menu. Breakfast was lovely and the staff were all friendly. No mention of renovations when booked, so expect paint and paint stained carpets up the stairs. Previously had better trips there, but the last 2 have been poor. This room had been recently ‘upgraded’, but rusty tap in the bath.

My heart sank when pulled up in car park. Very tatty looking building. But room spotlessly clean and staff extremely welcoming. Be aware it is being refurbished. Most disappointing aspect was food. Paid for meal deal. Evening meal mediocre although staff were very good. Breakfast don’t bother. It was barely warm. Would have complained but wanted to get on with our journey

Tired hotel which is in the middle of being refurbished. Receptionist was excellent, restaurant was good for evening meal but breakfast was cold and not everything on the menu was laid out in the buffet selectio’z

Reception staff were very accommodating and room location was nice and quiet. Breakfast was a good selection and what was a special touch was the chef named Fouad who went out of his way to make sure you had everything you needed and that you didn’t leave empty handed. Much appreciated when we had a long trip and a small child.
