Villa Antigua is very nice hotel located in the centre of Sucre. Built in the 18-sixties as a mansion, it was completely renovated in 2009. The hotel offers 21 rooms over 3 floors, and has a garden, a nice patio, a large top floor terracce, a gym & steambath, a breakfast restaurant, and a charming café. Free Wi-Fi. Staff is friendly and helpful. Our room was adequately furnished & decorated, with table & chair, TV & fridge, a high ceiling, wardrobe & safe, and a good queensize doublebed. We had a separate bathroom with toilet, washbasin & shower over the bath. The large window opens into the patio but has no mosquito screen. All was very clean. The buffet breakfast is good: bread, rolls & toast, ham & cheese, eggs made to order, butter & marmalade, fruit & juice, cereals, yoghurt & mineral water, tea & coffee. We found Vila Antigua comfortable and very quiet and we had a good stay. Good value-for-money. Highly recommended.

There are many great hotels in the Sucre area to enjoy- Sadly I would not recommend Villa Antigua. Despite good staff and a nice hotel- I was overcharged for my stay and when I reached out to ******* to assist in this overcharge I was told the hotel was not willing to explain the amount. Very disappointed in this hotel and the unexplained overcharge. I'd recommend trying one of the many other local hotels.

Lovely historic hotel in the heart of Sucre. Friendly and helpful staff, clean and well-maintained with outdoor and indoor seating areas to relax and enjoy the views.

Reception staff helpful in getting my bag up to the third floor (no lift). Wifi good at reception and in breakfast room (one floor up), but very unstable in my top floor room, despite separate rooter just outside. Large room - however one small radiator not enough to get it warm enough during limited hours of operation. Beware of very hot shower - turn up warm tap slowly! Good breakfast buffet - eggs prepared separately on request. Convenient location close to central square.

Convenient are to go by, near to the plaza and nice place to stay. What I loved more was an excellent coffee shop next to the hotel. I strongly recommend

The facilities are in general ok, although some areas look quite unmantained. The kids area, for example, is falling apart. Staff was quite attentive and most of the food good (except for some quite chewy beef) Rooms are pretty and with quality components

Freundliches hilfsbereites Personal. Die Lage ist perfekt, in der Nähe der Sehenswürdigkeiten. Vieles per Fuß und alles mit dem Bus erreichbar. Frühstück ist okay.

L'hôtel est vraiment très beau de style colonial et avec une terrasse au 3° étage qui offre de belles vues. Pas de problème de propreté. Mais le service n'est pas au niveau du prix que l'on paye (il fait partie des plus chers à Sucre). Aucune attention dans la chambre, le minimum serait une bouteille d'eau. Pas de verre dans la salle de bains, on se rince les dents au robinet (on est dans un 4*...!!). Petit déjeuner moyen, l'employée responsable du petit déjeuner ne se soucie absolument pas de nous, elle ne propose pas les œufs, il faut les demander à tel point que pendant 2 jours je n'en ai pas eu car je croyais qu'il n'y en avait pas. En conclusion, mis à part les réceptionnistes qui sont très sympas, l'attention au client est inexistante. Professionnel de l'hôtellerie ça me déçoit de voir un si bel hôtel si mal géré. En fait cet hôtel compte uniquement sur son architecture. Dommage.
