Hotele niedaleko Lingering Garden(Liuyuan Garden), Suzhou

It got off to a bad start; we were dropped off at the end of Daru Lane and the hotel was just across Shengli Brigde. Unfortunately there was a minor repair work along Pingjiang Road leading to Hotel, so we have to make a detour via Pingjiangli, Xiaojia Lane and Xuegao Bridge. We were checked in with amicable and heartwarming hospitality. The receptionist provided us with extra breakfast coupons, helped with luggages, and showed us to our room. She gave us directions on where to go to hail taxi and the drop off points closest to the hotel. The housekeeping auntie was very friendly and helpful. The room was clean, spacious and had strong air conditioning. The location is perfect for exploring Pingjiang Road, Guanqian Steet and nearby attractions. We wandered along Pingjiang Road, explored alleys/stone bridges and attractions. We also did a walking tour for Suzhou Museum, Humble Administrator's Garden and Lion Grove Garden.

I stayed at Suzhou Liuxiang Hotel and booked the Refreshing Double Bed room, which was a very comfortable and pleasant stay. The room was clean, bright, and well maintained, with a comfortable bed and effective air-conditioning which is perfect after a long day of walking around Suzhou. The location is a major highlight, situated between Guanqian Street and Pingjiang Road, making it extremely convenient for shopping, sightseeing, and exploring local food spots. Many attractions and eateries are within walking distance. Check-in and check-out were smooth, and the staff were friendly and helpful. Overall, it offers great value for money and is a solid choice for travelers who want comfort, cleanliness, and a central location in Suzhou.

I had a wonderful stay at Wenlv Gusu Yard Donghuali. It’s more of a charming 民宿 than a traditional hotel, and that’s exactly what makes the experience so special. The service was exceptional. We had very heavy luggages, and the staff immediately offered to help us carry them up the stairs to our rooms. If you order food delivery, the staff will also kindly bring it straight to your room, and they were consistently helpful with any of our requests. They also prepare a healthy and delicious breakfast every morning, which was a lovely way to start the day. The location can be a little inconvenient at first as the 民宿 is tucked deep inside a quiet lane, but once you get oriented, you’ll find that it is actually very close to many popular attractions. We appreciated the balance - peaceful surroundings while still being within walking distance of key sights. Our room was clean, comfortable, and tastefully decorated, with beautiful views of the courtyard. It was the perfect place to unwind after a day of exploring.

I am absolutely in love with this hotel! First of all, the hotel is located inside the scenic spot. One of the staff called me in advance to arrange a time to pick me up at the entrance of the scenic spot. My Chinese is not good so normally it's very awkward for me to speak over the phone in Chinese but she was very patient with me which I appreciate. Not only did she escort me to the hotel but she also carried my luggage for me. The decor inside the hotel has a beautiful, rustic asthetic which matches the feel of the ancient town. I really like table and chairs in my room, overlooking the pond. The pond also has koi fish and turtles! It was a beautiful touch that added to the overrall feel of the hotel. I loved these little details such as theovely traditional Chinese tea set (with a variety of complementary loose tea leaves), and the stylish coffee mugs. Unfortunately I came to Zhouzhuang during a severe typhoon which caused a leak and power cut in my room, so when I alerted the staff, they immediately gave me a new room. They even helped me pack my things so I can change rooms as soon as possible. The new room I went to was equally as beautiful. Not only is the hotel beautiful but it also has great amenities. Both rooms I stayed in had a stone bathtub which were both very deep -you could float it in! If you come here, I would recommend you bring some bubble bath with you like I did for maximum relaxation. I also made good use of the pool. The pool is a little small and a bit too shallow for an adult, but you can still have an enjoyable swim. Lastly, the tea room and cafés are also a nice addition to the hotel. My second room didn't have a table and chairs like the original one I booked, so I went to the tea room to eat my breakfast. It's also a cozy and comfortable room just to relax in if you're feeling lazy. As I have mentioned throughout this review, the service is second to none. Not only did the staff help me get to the hotel, but after I checked out they also carried my luggage and escorted me to the taxi. Throughout my stay I was offered fresh fruit and coffee several times, and as I mentioned earlier, I was immediately helped when I had to change my room. Whenever I struggled to communicate in Mandarin, the staff would try their best to speak English or would be patient with my hesitation or mispronunciation in Mandarin. This is probably the best ever service I have experienced on my travels. In summary, it's a beautiful hotel, in a convenient location with great facilities and helpful and kind staff. Not only will I come back again (and with my family next time) but I will recommend all my friends and colleagues to stay at this hotel if they ever plan to visit Zhouzhuang.

Now, I can sit here and tell you that we’re staying in an eco-friendly hotel that even though you’re inside its high glass windows gives you an outdoor vibe. I can even sit and talk about the saline pool, its state-of-the-art gym and list all the amenities; and I can even talk about the number of rooms and the fact that as we speak there’s an international summit going on here. Somehow that won’t speak about my experience here at this hotel. Elements (by Westin) Suzhou Science & Technology Town does have all of the above BUT what I love about this hotel is its Staff. I love the fact that they seem to be always be here. I somehow believe that they live onsite because they’re always around. In the morning, even before I enter the Salon I hear, “Nǐ hǎo Marsha” from the Breakfast Host, followed up by the nice lady in the Salon, smiling at me and ushering me to the coffee machine, while handing me my 2 brown sugar packs. She knows my morning habits so quickly. Not only that, because they knew Peter was missing from my breakfast table for a few mornings, they now signal to me with take away containers for Peter, to have his breakfast in the room. When we need to go anywhere the young ladies at the Front Desk (no matter which Shift) are always either asking us where we need to go so that they can call a CASH taxi to get us to our destination. One of them even came with me one day to the Bank of China’s ATM and sat in the taxi while I went in and conducted my business and accompanied me to the Campus to visit Jon-Marc. Yesterday, one of them even used her own Didi account to get us transportation back to the hotel and we reimbursed her (and walked away while she was trying to give us back our change because we knew she wouldn’t have taken the Tip as is their custom). How else could we have shown her how grateful we were for her kind gesture? Then there is Simon Jiang, the General Manager, who speaks perfect English and is always there to assist and offer suggestions of things to do and places to go. Simon was the one who actually explained to me that you can’t just walk into a pharmacy and get anything without a prescription. What I can tell you is that even though he is the GM he is always on hand assisting the staff with their work. Even though there is a clear hierarchy here, he takes off his jacket and assists in the kitchen, you can sometimes see him helping the older ladies bring out the heavy equipment (if needed) when they’re cleaning the floors, clear tables, etc. Or Alex Ju, the Assistant General Manager, who accompanied Peter and I to the hospital and stayed and spoke with the doctor and the international insurance department on our behalf (in Mandarin) to make everything a little easier for us. These people are the ones who have made my stay here memorable and I can honestly say that its because of them that I would recommend Elements by Westin in Suzhou to ANYONE who wanted a place to stay without hassle and with a host of helpful, courteous, friendly staff. It has been my pleasure having encountered such warm, friendly, delightful and gentle human beings.

I arrived in pouring rain. I thought I could walk to my hotel but it was impossible in the downpour. I didn’t want to bother any hotel owner.   I didn’t and still don’t  have an eSIM that can make local  call but thanks to Trip.com, there is a link that I could call the owner for free.  I didn’t advise the owners my arrival time so they were off running errands.  I called the owner to pick me up and thankfully he answered. He was busy but gracious enough to turn around and picked me up. It knew Zhouhuang requires a ticket but I didn’t know that no cars, nor motorcycles, nor bicycles are allowed. Without him I would have arrived the hotel easily.  I always like to meet the owners instead of employees . They were very helpful and answered all my questions. They are honest people who dedicate their  blood and sweat to their business. The owner even offered to walk me to the bus stop  to Suzhou which was my next destination.  This  operates two hotels with 9 in one and 6 in the other. The one that I stayed in with 9 rooms is in a  lively and busy area . Just outside the hotel is a restaurant and there are plenty of places to eat. Inside the hotel is a peaceful oasis where you won’t hear any noise. The location is the best. The other hotel is in a quieter neighborhood a few minutes away. Each of the 15 rooms has it’s own personality, is different and has its distinctive decoration. The owners said they decorated them themselves. I love the decoration and especially the lighting.  After you reserve a room, be sure to contact the owner for the exact address in case you want to arrive on your own. I think it is best to request the owner to take you there because he/she will lead you to the ticket booth to buy tickets. There are a number of bridges so heavy big luggages can be a bit of a challenge .  If you arrive after 5 pm, you can enter free of charge as no one is there to check your ticket. . But once you are inside, and if you choose to leave the area after 8 or 9 am until 5 pm, you have to pay to come back in. You can buy a one day or in my case 3 days pass.  Do check with the owner for up to date information.  The room was quite clean. There were hot water all the time. There were other guests during my stay but they were not noisy at all. I barely heard them. I slept very well during my 3 nights there.  Zhouhuang is really beautiful. There are many canals, bridges, boat rides, good food of all kinds. I had some of the best meals there. In fact , I ate in the same restaurant that serves dumpling twice. One night I had grill (BBQ) meat just outside the entrance for 4 yuans. .  There is decent size supermarket just outside the turnstile and not too far away is a much bigger supermarket. It was there where I bought half a Peking duck for only 32 yuans . The seller sliced the meat and separated the meat from  the bones. The bones he fried so it was crunchy.  It was delicious. There is a theater that offers performances. The night view is great. If you step out your room, you will be overwhelmed in a good sense by the exciting surroundings.  This hotel definitely is one of the best that I have ever stayed in. Look at the beautiful pictures and find one that you like.  I stayed only 3 nights and one of those days I went to Tongli. In my opinion, one should spend at least 2 to 3 full days in  Zhouhuang (and especially this hotel ) savor the ambience. I don’t think Tongli is worth the time because it was twice as expensive and there are not that many canals and boat rides. It is much quieter and has fewer things to see. . The worst is that the sightseeing places require you to show your ticket. After 2 places, I lost mine ticket and I  couldn’t get in the rest of the places. It is unnecessary to require proof of entrance because you can’t enter the area without a ticket. 

Do tego hotelu zwabili nas influencerzy, którzy chwalą go za majestatyczny wygląd, przypominający tradycyjny chiński zamek. Chociaż lokalizacja nie do końca nam odpowiadała, ponieważ znajduje się około 8-10 minut spacerem od najbliższej stacji metra (Nanmen Metro), cena była na tyle przystępna i kusząca, że ​​postanowiliśmy spróbować. Fasada hotelu z daleka wygląda wspaniale, majestatycznie i przestronnie, wnętrze jest ogromne i tradycyjnie zadbane, chociaż projekt wydaje się nieco przestarzały, ale moim zdaniem nadal zachowuje klasę i tradycję. Przydzielono nam jeden z najdalszych pokoi, aż do końca, pod numerem 5069. Droga była dość długa, ponieważ hotel znajdował się na samym końcu. Pokój jest zdecydowanie duży i umożliwia otwarcie wszystkich bagaży za jednym razem. Dostępne udogodnienia były wystarczające, z wyjątkiem tego, że mogliby poprawić ofertę, dodając więcej żelu pod prysznic i szamponu, ponieważ małe butelki nie wystarczały. Mieliśmy również nadzieję, że mogliby zainstalować międzynarodowe wtyczki dla swoich gości z zagranicy, ponieważ jest to również międzynarodowa sieć hotelowa. Personel był uprzejmy i profesjonalny. Polecam każdemu, kto przyjeżdża do Suzhou, aby dał temu hotelowi chociaż jedną szansę! Najważniejsze jest to, że pobyt w hotelu obejmuje bezpłatny dostęp do parku, do którego wejście znajduje się z tyłu hotelu. Koszt wejścia wynosi 40 juanów! Warto!

Środowisko: Wystrój hotelu jest nowoczesny i minimalistyczny, a przestrzenie wspólne są ogólnie bardzo ładne i stylowe. Wejście przypomina trochę japoński hotel, natychmiast przenosząc cię z jednego świata w inne, spokojne i relaksujące miejsce. Udogodnienia: Wyposażenie pokoju jest w porządku, a pokój, w którym się zatrzymałem, wyglądał na czysty. Podobała mi się suszarka do włosów Laifen 😘. Jednak toaleta nie jest inteligentna, co nie jest zbyt dobre, ale telewizor ma funkcję castowania. Obsługa: Nasza trzyosobowa rodzina otrzymała darmowe śniadanie, co jest świetne. Recepcja oferowała również kandyzowane owoce, popcorn i herbatę dla gości, a gorąca herbata zimą była szczególnie rozgrzewająca.

We were looking forward to our stay here and suffice to say, it did not disappoint. Location was great and it's located along Pingjiang Road. It made for a very convenient stroll at anytime of the day. We wanted to experience the street at its busiest to the quiet in the middle of the night once shops close and tourists leave. The sound of light footsteps and wheels rolling against cobbled path during the break of dawn to lightly stir you from your sleep were strangely soothing and nice to wake up to. Pillows were a lil soft to our liking but each to their own. We had a great stay nonetheless.
