George Albert Hotel & Spa

We had our wedding reception here and we can not thank the team at the George Albert enough. Ed was so helpful, kind and responsive throughout the whole process of us planning our wedding. Deborah was incredibly helpful, kind and efficient the day before and on our wedding day. Will was so kind and supportive to our niece who was our MC on the day and generally supportive to us as a couple making sure everything was running smoothly on the day and we were ok. We felt like we were in safe hands. All the team were friendly and helpful at our reception, everything went with out a hitch and everyone was so professional and efficient. Pretty much from the moment people arrived for the reception I did not have to think about a thing as the team were aware of our plan and carried it out in a professional, calm and friendly manner so it all felt seamless for us and gave me confidence that it was all going to be ok and go according to our plan! The food was brilliant and we have had so many positive comments about the food from guests who attended the wedding, commenting on how lovely the food tasted, how well it was cooked and perfect portions. The team were accommodating with us needing to set up the day before and their organisation in order that we could pack up things from the reception the next day was a great help. We wanted all the guests who stayed for the wedding to have breakfast together the next day and also had family and friends come back to join us all for breakfast the next day and the team were so nice and accommodating in setting up a room for this making this happen for us. Our room was comfortable with good facilities (and good tea availability!) Thank you so much to you all, we really appreciate everyone at the George Albert's efforts to enable us and our guests to enjoy our wedding day to the maximum.

Really excellent staff, very hospitable and friendly and willing to do anything to make the stay comfortable. We attended a wedding there and the food was excellent too! We couldn’t fault the customer service prior to our stay as well, they were accommodating of our requests.

Staff can not take down a phone number, does not understand what you try to explain. Their phone does not engage. You have to repeat "hello" several times and when you start the conversation, the phone cuts off. Will, is very rude and calls customers to put the phone down on them without saying hello or goodbye!

We visited the spa facilities as a group of friends. It’s a lovely space. Great facilities and friendly helpful staff. Left feeling very relaxed. My massage was immensely amazing. Michelle is a lovely host, and manager with some fantastic ideas. Can’t wait to go again. Xx

We stayed with other members of our extended family at this hotel. The rooms were very comfortable the staff went out of their way to be helpful. The breakfast was cooked to order cereal tasty. Our evening meal was also good value. Everyone enjoy their stay and all felt the same on leaving. All together a relaxing place to stay

Stayed here for two nights for a family gathering. The hotel is lovely and spotlessly clean. Our room was spacious with really comfy beds, soft pillows and a fab shower. The added little extras like toiletries, biscuits and a hairdryer make all the difference. The staff are really friendly, efficient and professional and go out of their way to make you feel comfortable and welcome. We had fabulous freshly cooked English breakfast and the restaurant food of an evening was also delicious. As a family we sat in the bar area for the evenings and had chance to catch up and the staff kept us supplied with both alcoholic and. In alcoholic beverages. Would most definitely stay here again.

I didn’t even make it into the front door. As we drove in there was one car in the car park and no signs of life as you looked inside. My first impression was that all the windows were shuttered up but it was the grey murky curtains it didn’t look appealing. I always take things on first impression and that was it. Very run down out side. Yet the pictures on the site make it look very appealing and smart

Had a very nice room on our stay Evening meal was excellent as was the 80s theme night music Great location for easy access from yeovil/dorchester

Friendly staff, spacious rooms and all the amenities you would expect. Booked the spa and enjoyed my treatment, but the hot tub seemed to be making everyone sneeze, not sure if the chlorine levels were off
