Hotel Midtown Richardson

Hotel Midtown Richardson is located at well connected location, right above Ximen MRT station. Thus easy to access to many attractions. One stop from Taipei main station, One stop to Longshan Tample, two stops to Chiang Kai-Shek Memorial hall. Ximending Nightmarket is one junction behind the hotel. I love having buffet breakfast at hotel as all the foods are delicious and available variety. Only one minor inconvenience is that I got a room at level 1 which is next to the reception as I choose city suites, so a bit noisy of checking in and out. Upper level would be quieter. Overall, I'm satisfied with my stay from 15 to 19 June 2024 and recommend this hotel for your and safe and convenience travel.

I totally regret staying at this hotel during this trip! Upon checking in the hotel, the hotel staff was reluctant to change all four our rooms on the same floor. The walls and the door of the room are so thin as you can listen to the conversation from next door. Whenever someone was using the water faucet next door, I could hear the water flushing down through the drainage pipe in my bathroom. Hotel Wifi really ****** unless you keep standing behind the room door. The worse of all was when I went to bed at night , there were noises in my room but the noises would stop everytime I turned on the light. After 3 or 4 times, I was sure the noises were from the trash bin. Before I came down from the bed , a rat jumped out from the bin and ran towards my bed !!! Fxxking Hell !! I immediately called the front desk and they said they would send someone to my room right away. The staff came and told me to pack my stuff. I packed everything within 5 mins and moved to a different room on a different floor . This new room was a bit smaller yet more rundown than the first one. I must say this hotel is by far the worse hotel I have stayed in my life. The photo is showing the Apple bite from the rat ….

Small room but nice. Location is good close to many shops but too many people during breakfast time, elevator is so slow.

1. Location is perfect, 2 mins to Metro station. 2. Lobby with nice decorations and good lighting design. 3. Room facilities quite old, lift door will close even people still walking, improvement needs. 4. No air-conditioning and ventilation inside the transparent lift, couldn’t breathe with full loading, especially with the hot weather during summer. 5. Room carpet is extremely dirty and damaged, dust and dirt haven’t clean enough even after room make-up. Slippers are thin in poor quality. 6. Bath towels are old, all edges were damaged, thin and aged. 7. Too dark in the room especially without window, light system is definitely need to improve. 8. Dirts and marks found on quilt and bed sheet, itchy skin after sleeping. 8. Will not consider to stay again.

The hotel is pretty nice and the location is good...hotel staff is helpful and polite and they can speak Wbglish well. Everything is good except the cleanliness.. Thr carpet on the walkway is so stained but no foul smell though. The main problem with the room is that all of us get bed bugs bite on our legs :(

Id like the spacious of the room and they grant my request the room with bathtub and bidet. And also the housekeeper saw us leaving in our room and they approach us if we would like our room to be cleaned first. And we said yes and the next day they greet us again.. and About the buffet its little bit crowded but the staff there is really organize. I recommend it to those who like the local food but me I didnt like the food bcus its all Chinese cuisine. But Im glad that they have a loaf bread and margarine and strawberry jam that I can eat. But still I like everything except the food and the wifi signal is worst 🥺.

The room was reasonable clean but I thought our room was non smoking but we could smell smoke coming to our room. Not sure how much the hotel reinforce no smoking in the hotel. The location was definitely a plus as it is near to amenities.

Great location, but the room is mouldly and look run down. We have selected a room without a window and i have paid extra for this bigger unit. 😡The wallpaper is peeling off and with water strain. 😤 Even the chair is also not working, worse I was given a room near the lift lobby it's so noisy at night. Lucky I only stay 2 nights, don't t recommend u to take room without window. hopefully, the room with the window is better.

Loved the hotel, extremely close to station and Ximending. Staffs very friendly, rooms are clean and pleasant, hotel looks 5 star if anything. Buffet served are amazing as well for dinner
