It was quite last minute travelling to Taipei, I had no other choice to book this hotel as they offered a reasonable price in a perfect location for all my meeting appointments where W charged me 12000TWD or la meridian at 16000TWD a night. Nothing much to complain about the hardware as this is not a brand new hotel and I can be a bit more considerate on the maintenance part, I just need to report the issues and ensure I don’t have to compensate any due to the defects found after my departure. About service, it is terrible - upon check in, the trainee just recited all bookings information and terms, she didn’t care if I catch her points, this can be shown by her contemptuous eyes when I stopped her to repeat it. I am sure this can be replaced by AI nowadays to avoid any negative impact, perhaps create a hip and cool feeling indeed with a reliable technology. Don’t try to ask for alternatives or room switch, as it sounds bothering, you can see it from their poker face. Every approach to ask for direction or car arrangement, it was just a disaster. Overall, don’t expect a proper hospitality from this hotel. The front line team there needs assessment, they have no potential to bring business in and create any value to this property. Someone really needs to be recognised, I believe she is from Housekeeping team as I saw her on the floor and she showed empathy and carrying a smiling face at least. For amenities, just normal toiletries in room and don’t see any other amenities or arrangements impressed me.
