It was extremely bad experience during our check in to this lodge, we arrive around 4pm given our confirmed and paid booking through Agoda...notice that the lady owner was at the check in office waiting for us...was happy and felt welcome until the owner said there was some problem on the booking and she has to either reject us or we top up another RM20 to proceed the stay... 1stly as a customer, I disagree to top up RM20, The price we paid is reasonable (RM42) for the location of the lodge is not strategic and to reach there is very challenging..and to be frank, theres not much offered by the lodge,the view is just ordinary..we just need a place to stopover for a day so we choose this lodge. The only pro is the breeze air.. We are so tired and given the time is getting late, the owner insist us to top up RM20 (I felt forced sell but not compromise, coz I know my right as a customer) otherwise she will not let us check in. She tell me she will loss if continue the booking, I ask her to direct liase wth the agent instead of "hang" us like this..we are not the one make mistake, why need us to gone through this? She said she is not agree with the price set by her agent "O**", when she get the booking confirmation, why don't she call me and inform me in advance that she not agree the price and need to top up RM20 to proceed the booking? Why need to wait until we reach there only inform? Left us no choice? I don't know how many customers have experience the same situation like us during check in at this lodge, maybe they have no choice but to pay extra coz it will be hassle to book another homestay at last minute.. The owner also mentioned she had get many customers' complain on the same issue, then what is the solution by the owner to avoid customer's disappointment? NONE!!! No initiative but just to hope customer will understand and pay extra unwillingly. This is by far the only homestay/lodge that give such terrible customer experience to us...imagine we have to go down to town again at around 6pm to find a place to stay at the festive season...we will not forget this terrible experience forever. To the owner, there are many way you can settle this professionally. To those who wish to stay here, please make sure you give them a call even your booking has been secured and paid..otherwise, you will end up like us P/s, If the rating allow me to unstar, I will not give any star at all
