R2 Bahia Playa - Adults Only

We absolutely loved our holiday and totally enjoyed it. The hotel was perfectly situated on the beach (a very quiet village) and our room had a fantastic panoramic ocean view. ( Room 376). The food was great, with different choices, and the New Year's Eve dinner was absolutely amazing. The staff was very efficient, friendly, and cheerful. The fireworks were wonderful. From my point of view, this hotel is suitable for people who would love to be away from noise, children, crowds, and stress and just want or need a peaceful and tranquil holiday. We enjoyed the heated pool and the time with Sam ( the entertainer). Thank you very much R2 Bahia Playa Design Hotel & Spa for our time at the hotel and for an unforgettable holiday.

We stayed at this hotel over Christmas. The food let this hotel down, it was extremely repetitive. If you like Pork, Liver and various Fish then you’ll be fine. Pork and fish were on everyday, along with the same selection of vegetables. Unfortunately for me and my Sister we neither like Pork or Liver which incidentally was labelled as beef. The Christmas Day fayre however was delicious. The Spa is definitely in need of a refurbishment, the steam room door didn’t close, and maybe a few lights in the pool would help people to see the steps under the water. There is only one bar open throughout the hotel through the day, which is a pool bar. In our opinion not adequate for a large hotel. On a positive note the majority of the staff were helpful and cheerful. I feel it would help if there was information on the hotel handed out at check in, as there were a few things we discovered from other guests that we weren’t aware of. On a positive note the hotel and rooms were thoroughly cleaned everyday, by cheerful staff.

Absolute loved our winter sun break over Christmas here! Got upgraded into the romantic suites area on arrival (thank you!) and our room was spacious with a bath and little terrace. We were in an area just away from the main hotel which was perfect - separate pool area, bar and there were about 6 jacuzzis and a sauna which were usually always free, a perfect evening relaxation spot! The main hotel was nice with an amazing spa area, and it was well decorated for Christmas. They told us it was full but it never felt busy, we never really had to wait for drinks other than a little at dinner but this was no problem. I’m vegan and my partner isn’t, but we always had plenty of options at dinner with food well labelled with allergens, and I did see they had a section with lots of gluten free things. I always struggle as a vegan, but there was lots of veg and salad, occasionally chickpeas and lentils which was good to have some protein! (Pictures are the Christmas dinners we had - vegan and non vegan) Drinks - I don’t understand the reviews at all as we were thoroughly impressed with the drinks - who could be so negative about a slushie machine?? These were awesome! Pina coladas and a few others came as slushies at the poor bar and they were really refreshing, the sangria, cava and beer were also all great drinks! Wide variety of spirits and soft drinks and coffees served throughout the day too. All staff were super friendly and nice, and no one bothered us which was good - people aren’t in your face and it’s a truly lovely place to relax! There’s few little local places to visit but the coastline and the hills were fantastic to walk around and super quiet - mostly we were the only people there! (A few pictures here to see how cool the landscape was!) I’d really recommend this hotel, and wouldn’t hesitate to book again if we returned to Fuerteventura!

We had a great stay at this hotel and there are positives and opportunities that we think the hotel should consider! The hotel is in a beautiful setting. It is in a quiet area but we think that’s to it’s advantage. It still has local restaurants and a shop. There are also regular buses to Costa Calma and Morro Jable both worth a visit (we think Morro Jable edges it!) The cleanliness of our room and the hotel areas was exceptional. The staff were also very friendly and helpful, a credit to the hotel. Areas of opportunity firstly include the decking around each of the pools. It’s in desperate need of replacement. It was loose/damaged in places that could cause someone an injury. Secondly the food whilst it did vary day to day it did lack imagination. Finally “ All Inclusive” felt limited, the drinks range felt limited and if we visited during peak season if it was with the same number of staff I would sense very large queues at peak times. It was strange to be told on check in what cocktails were not included when you had gone all inclusive. The opportunities shouldn’t put anyone off, we had a fantastic holiday and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We think the opportunities could make things even better. Thank you

Mooi gelegen hotel met een zeer goede service. Het hotel had een email gestuurd na 2 dagen hoe we het hoten ervaren.We vonden de bedden een beetje te stevig, en dit in de mail verwerkt. De volgende dag na het ontbijt kwanen we terug op de kamer. Wat blijkt ze hadden toppers op onze bedden geplaatst en de bedden waren weer netjes met schoon beddengoed opgemaakt. Tevens de complimenten aan het animatieteam. Agnes ,Georgi en Hugo hebben ons kostelijk vermaakt zolang we daar waren. Heb vooral genoten van het handboog schieten, waarbij ik een diploma mog verwelkomen
