Sertil Royal Forest Hotel

Having previously stayed here in 2022 when it was newly opened as the Sertil Royal Forest and were so impressed we booked for a second time this year and had a swim up room. How things have changed in the space of 18 months. New name and new management and staff. The positives are without doubt the hotel’s position which gives a stunning view of the mountains and the bay of Oludeniz itself. Breakfast was good with plenty of choice although it could have been hotter and labelled. The negatives are niggly little things that when added together spoilt it for us. The rooms are looking tired, the glass in the mirrors had failed, fixtures and fittings like the bedside lamps and the shower head were loose (although they fixed the shower), but water poured out of one side and soaked the bathroom floor every time we used it. The room smelt damp and there are damp patches in places and inside the wardrobe that need sorting (rooms 102 and 103)). The most upsetting thing however is some money went missing from our room (not a lot but that’s not the point) our two daughters who were in the next room had some jewellery go missing, and having spoken to 2 other guests they also had money unaccounted for. While I understand there is a safe in every room and should be used for your valuables, and the hotel has a notice saying they cannot be held responsible for belongings in your room, it leaves a rather nasty taste in your mouth when something like this happens. Unfortunately we will not be returning.

Having been to Turkey and Olüdeniz many times before, this time we were quite disappointed with the hotel we had chosen which we hadn’t stayed in before. We booked this particular hotel as a bit of a change but standards sadly were not what we had been used to in other hotels in the resort. First impressions were lovely, however as the week went on, we found several issues which spoiled the experience. Food was barely lukewarm at both breakfast and dinner, shower was not working correctly, causing flooding in the bathroom and the toilet constantly running, causing disruptive nights sleep. General housekeeping of rooms was poor and our waste bins in the room remained un-emptied for the duration of our stay. Generally, prices in the resort had noticeably increased since last year with Turkish inflation, but drinks prices in the hotel were probably even more than UK prices. After the first night water was available with dinner from a fridge in the dining area, however, from then on it was locked and we were charged for water for the rest of the week. This could be a really nice hotel, but a few things really let this place down and guests will avoid returning. On a positive note though, Umut the night porter was so lovely and helpful and a great asset to the hotel !

It was our third visit to this hotel and we honestly can't fault it. Very pleased to see familiar faces at the reception desk who recognized us immediately as we entered the door. Special thank you to the front office manager Berk for proceeding our reservation with all our requests, very helpful and professional. The views, food, cleaning - everything excellent as always, can't fault it. Coming back September!

Property is so Old, very poor furniture , bed is so basic and not comfortable, it was even shaking, room decorations is so poor. Staff is so friendly, view is amazing, location is very good , walking distance from telegrique

Sertil Royal is a good hotel. We enjoyed our stay. We only stayed for one night but enjoyed the view of Oludeniz and the pool was lovely. It was quiet and clean. We did have to switch rooms because the toilet was broken when we got the room. But they were very accommodating and quick to put us in another room. We also got to the hotel 3 hours early and they allowed us to check in early which was very kind of them. Breakfast was good with quite a lot of variety to chose from.
